Halloween Sour Cream Treat Holder

When I first started stamping 15 years ago one of the big things was making sour cream treat holders.  We made tons of these for every holiday — just 6″ x 6″ designer paper, small candy or toy treats and a little embellishment and you were done.

Every quarter we get a Stampin’ Success magazine and I couldn’t believe it when the sour cream treat holder was in there.  Well of course I had to make one to share with you.  The Toil & Trouble Designer Paper was perfect.  I chose these black piece with stars and dots and I added a tag using the Cauldron Bubble stamp set and Cauldron Framelit set to cut out the broom and frog (did you know you save 10% when you purchase a bundle).

Adorable, right!!!  Just take a 6″ x 6″ piece of designer paper, add Tear & Tape to one edge and roll paper into a loose tube (like a toilet paper roll).  Next put a piece of Tear & Tape on the inside of each end, pinch one end together, fill with treat and pinch the open end in the opposite direction — see picture).

*I stamped the broom on Soft Suede and Crushed Curry with Memento ink — cut out with framelit – cut stick off the Crushed Curry broom and attach over the Soft Suede broom.
*Frog is stamped with Memento on Granny Apple Green cardstock — cut out with framelit – attach to broom with Mini Dimensional
*Trick or Treat is stamped with Memento on Whisper White — cut out with Stitched Shapes framelit
*Stamp stars with Crushed Curry ink — cut out with Layering Circle Framelit
*Cut out scallop circle with Pumpkin Pie cardstock — attach layers to treat holder
*Tie a bow with the Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon and attach with Glue Dot

I would love to see your sour cream holders.  Post a picture on my Facebook Page — Stampwithpeggy and I’ll draw a name for a prize.
