I have lots of big news for you!!! I’ve talked in person to some of you and by now I’m guessing many of you have seen lots of talk on Facebook.
Stampin’ Up! has made some big announcements in the past few days.
The Retiring List of products is coming out Monday — just 3 days from now. We’ll be saying good bye to some of our favorite items as we prepare to say hello to lots of fun new products. I’ll try to share with you as quickly as I can so you are prepared.
We know already two items that will be leaving us is our Paper Trimmer and the Big Shot. WHAT???? It’s ok – really. Stampin’ Up! will be replacing our current Stampin’ Trimmer with a new paper cutter.
We don’t know exactly when the new paper cutter will be available, in fact there will be a gap in time between when the Stampin’ Trimmer retires with this current catalog (or sell out) and the time when the new product will be. This means there will NOT be a paper trimmer in the new 2019-2020 catalog in June. You can continue using your trimmer for now but you will want to order some extra cutting blades so you can keep working. Stampin’ Up! has ordered what they believe to be a 6 month supply of cutting blades but I believe they will sell out quickly. Beginning Monday we can order 6 packages of blades at a time — that’s 12 blades. When they are sold out they will no longer be available (obviously), so plan ahead and get them ordered so you don’t run out while we wait for the new cutter.
Yes, our beloved Big Shot is also leaving us.
This is exciting news — Stampin’ Up! will be working directly with the manufacturer to bring us all a new Die Cutting/Embossing Machine and they will have more direct control over the design AND availability of products — less backorders. Just like the Paper Trimmer, there will be a gap between the old and new machine but you can continue to use your Big Shot. We’ll be watching for a new style of dies & embossing folders in the new 2019-20 Catalog — that exciting. These new designs will work with your Big Shot. Current dies and embossing folders COULD sell out quickly, so place your orders early — don’t wait, once the Retiring List hits Monday, it could be too late — the Acrylic Cutting Plates have already sold out.
