Day 7 — 12 Days of Christmas with Peggy

Day 7 features assorted Christmas Gift Bags using fabulous Designer Paper.
We all stock up on beautiful papers and then we don’t use them because they are too pretty.
Here I’ll show you how to make wonderful bags to fit any gift while using up the designer papers
you are collecting.

During the LIVE, I did not decorate the bags — I just showed how to figure out size and assembled
4 different bag construction. Once I finished the LIVE, I decorated each bag so you can see how
adorable they are and very useful.

I started with the Boughs of Holly Designer Paper which I think is perfect for any man on your shopping list.
The greeting label used the Leaves of Holly Stamp Set with Evening Evergreen ink.

We used the Festive Foil Designer Paper with Christmas Scottie Stamp Set and Punch to make the second bag.
Snowflakes from All Bundled Up were stamped around the white edge.

Bags of all sizes are needed during this Holiday season so for the third bag, I used two sheets
of Celebrate Everything Host Designer Paper. I love the Granny Apple Green with black and white trees.
The moose from All Bundled Up was stamped, colored and fussy cut, then added to circles cut with
Stylish Shapes Dies. I added Black & White Gingham Ribbon for the handles.
I just love how this one turned out.

The final bag/box fits a small hand cream and uses the Storybook Gnomes Designer Paper.
I added a stamped and die cut snowflake using Joyful Flurry stamp set and Frosted Flurry dies.

Today I have a holder for a Hershey’s Chocolate Bar.
Who doesn’t like this, right?
You can even tuck a gift card in with the candy bar for a special treat.

This treat holder is so fun to make and even more fun to give away.

Measurements:

Garden Green — 4 1/4″ x 9 1/2″ — with 4 1/2″ edge at top — score at 1/2″, 7/8″, 3 3/8″, 3 3/4″
turn — with 9 1/2″ edge at top — score at 3″, 3 3/8″ – make a little mark on top & bottom at 6 3/8″
trim off on second score line (7/8)” from top long edge to 6 3/8″ marks
Real Red — 2 1/4″ x 2 3/4″
Basic White — 2 1/8″ x 2 5/8″
Sweetest Christmas Designer Paper — 2 1/4″ x 6″

1. Fold Garden Green on all score lines
2. Adhere Designer Paper to inside
3. Adhere 1/2″ flaps to back to create small pocket
4. Stamp words with Real Red ink
5. Stamp Santa Engine and clouds with Memento
6. Color train with Stampin’ Blends
7. Adhere to Real Red, then to front of pocket
8. Slip Hershey’s Chocolate Bar inside and gift away

You can tuck a gift card in with the chocolate bar

Day 5 — 12 Days of Christmas with Peggy
Day 5 is this beautiful lighted Nativity scene using the Peace to You Stamp Set
in a lighted framed. The Stamparatus allows me to stamp the image 2-3 times so
it is nice and dark.

I did case this beautiful work of art from, but I apologize I don’t know who the original artist was.
There was a picture online and I fell in love with it, I did add my own touches to make it mine.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. It is a perfect gift for the season.
