Fun with Sunrise Sailing

This week’s FB Live featured this fun with sunrise sailing masculine card.
The Sunrise Sailing Hybrid Embossing Folder adds so much texture to this card front. I die cut the clouds and then embossed them with the So Swirly Embossing Folder.

During the LIVE I gave everyone an option to leave the card with the embossed image or add the stamped sailboat.

So which card do you like better the left or right??

Measurements:
Secret Sea — 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ — score at 2 1/8″ & 4 1/4″
Cloud Cover — 4″ x 5 1/4″

1. Fold card base on score lines
2. Emboss Cloud Cover with Sunrise Sailing Embossing Folder
3. Use Small Blending Brush with White Craft Ink to add a little white to the clouds
4. Use Small Blending Brush with Misty Moonlight Ink to add color to the waves
5. Die cut two clouds and emboss them with So Swirly Embossing Folder
6. Adhere the clouds to Cloud Cover and trim excess off
7. Stamp birds in Secret Sea
8. Adhere Cloud Cover to the card front
9. The 3 3/4″ x 5″ Basic White is adhered inside the card base
10. Stamp sailboat with Secret Sea ink on 3″ x 4 1/4″ Basic White

Layered Thoughts Happy Birthday

Have you seen the Layered Thoughts Stamp Set? Today’s Layered Thoughts Happy Birthday card shows how fun the font is. The size of the greetings allows you to put a focus on some of our great designer papers. This was my first try of the new Timid Tiger In Color. It is a softer color than Pumpkin Pie and I think it’s going to be great to use, especially for Fall projects. The Floral Impressions Designer Paper has beautiful floral images on one side and fabulous texture looks on the opposite side. I thought this print worked so well with the Happy Birthday greeting stamp.

Measurements:

Timid Tiger – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ — score at 4 1/4″
Old Olive – 2 – 4” x 5 1/4″
Basic White — 2 – 1 5/8” x 3 7/8”; 1 3/4″ x 3 7/8”; 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”
Floral Impressions Designer Paper – 2 – 1 1/2″ x 3 3/4″

  1. Fold Timid Tiger on score line
  2. Adhere Old Olive to card front
  3. Adhere designer papers to Basic Whites, then to card front
  4. Stamp “Happy Birthday” with Old Olive ink on 1 3/4″ x 3 7/8”
  5. Attach to card front with Dimensionals
  6. Add Holographic Resin Dots
  7. Adhere 3 7/8” x 5 1/8” Basic White to 4” x 5 1/4″ Old Olive, then inside card base
