Balloon Builders Birthday Card

I'm in Salt Lake City for Stampin' Up!'s On Stage Live Event (similar to Convention). It has been an amazing couple of days. This has been the best Stampin' Up! Event in a long, long time. The energy level is VERY HIGH. We started Thursday afternoon with a live band — they did a great job. Our CEO, Sara Douglass (Shelli's daughter) welcomed everyone and did a wonderful job welcoming us all. She then introduced her mom, the Co-Founder of Stampin' Up! Shelli has been gone for the past year on a mission trip for her church, so everyone was thrilled to have her back.
Then we moved on to some wonderful stamping demonstrations. I qualified to attend a special dinner and dueling piano performance that night.
Yesterday was another fun filled day of demonstration and training. But the best part of the whole day was when I was presented with the Heart of Stampin' Up! Award. Sara & Shelli choose one demonstrator from all the nominees to receive this award that embodies what Stampin' Up! is all about.
It was unreal when Shelli read a portion of one of my nomination letters and she called out my name. I really didn't think I heard it right. I don't like pictures of myself, and I was doing the "ugly" cry, but here I am on stage with Shelli Gardner.

Here is another wonderful birthday card that I received.
My friend, Cheri, gave me this fun card.
I did purchase the Balloon Builders stamp set
but have not used it yet — it's time to get it out.

Cheri's CardCheri used neutral colors for the card — Tip Top Taupe (I think she
knows how much I like this color), Early Espresso and Whisper White.
She stamped some of the heart shaped balloons with Tip Top Taupe ink.
She added the regular shaped balloons and then added what I
call the "jelly beans" for doggy ears.  She also added darker
circle stamps for the doggy muzzle and nose.
She finished the card off with some cute little Melon Mambo
hearts from the Beautiful Ride stamp set.

Thank you Cheri — you have inspired me to play with my stamp set.

Bravo

I love receiving hand stamped cards!!!
I especially love receiving cards with
a unique fold, cut or design.

I received this card from my upline and sister Tina.
Bravo
First, it’s one of my favorite colors — Watermelon Wonder.
It’s pretty flowers and I am SO ready for spring and all
the wonderful flowers.
I love the Deco Labels cut out on the front of the
card.  Did you see what she did — she turned
the framelit up & down to cut the opening in the card,
then she cut out a Black layer to lay across the opening.
I love it!!!

Then, look at the inside — she did it inside too.
Bravo Inside
She also put a Watermelon Wonder Deco Label cut out
on the inside of the card front to finish the look
of the card and create a place to write a special note.

Thank you for the words of encouragement Tina!!!

Easter Scrapbook Pages

I love creating monthly scrapbook pages.
It’s just creating big card fronts.
I try to make it too overwhelming.

I have a group of ladies who meet with me
monthly to create scrapbook pages.
Some actually put pictures on their pages,
others just like to make the albums and
then they donate the completed pages
without pictures to fundraising events.

Here are the two pages that we made this month.
I know Easter was early this year but in March
we had St. Patrick’s Day pages to do so we
extended Easter to April this year.

Easter Page 1
This page features the Friends & Flowers stamp set and the
coordinating Festive Flowers punch to make the cute
Easter Bunny.  I love the Bow Clip embellishments, so
my Easter Bunny is a girl (heehee).
Easter Page 2
The second page used my cute little Easter Lamb stamp.
I stamped him with Memento ink and then used the
Pink Pirouette, Smoky Slate and Mint Macaron markers
to add just a touch of color.  I used the
Clear Wink of Stella to all the lamb’s fur “bubbles”
to give him an extra special look.

We used the Curvy Corner Trio punch to add
two delicate corners to each page on the Whisper
White layers.
