Christmas Eve Card

This card reminds of Christmas Eve.  A fresh layer of snow has fallen, see how it sparkles.  It has dusted each of the houses in our little neighborhood.  The sky is dark with lots of twinkling stars.  The moon shines bright and there goes the reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh.  So calm and peaceful.

Christmas NightThe base of the card is Night of Navy.  I tore little snow hills from two strips of Whisper White cardstock, added some 2-Way Glue to the top of each strip and sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds.  I punched a 2" circle from a scrap of cardstock creating a stencil and sponged White Craft ink to create the moon.  I added the twinkling stars with White Craft ink too.  Then stamp Santa and the Reindeer with Night of Navy ink.  The houses from Holiday Home are stamped with Night of Navy, Marina Mist and Soft Sky inks and cut out with the coordinating Homemade Holiday framelits.  Don't forget to slip two of houses between the snow hills.

Happy Thanksgiving

I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving.
I hope you are spending some time with family and friends.

Fall Flip

This card is called a Gate Card.  It has a fun closure.  The base of the card is Soft Suede.  I added strips of Color Me designer paper.  I stamped the trees from the White Christmas stamp set, added leaves with Cajun Craze, Tangelo Twist and Crushed Curry inks.  I colored the trees and the grass with Blendabilities.  Then I cut that out using the Windows Collection Framelits (which are on Extravaganza Sale List this week).  I cut out the Soft Suede trim piece using two of the Window framelits.  Next add dimensionals to right half of the stamped window and to the left side of the Soft Suede trim piece and adhere both to the closed card.  Don't forget to stamp the house and color in with Blendabilities.  I cut that out with the coordinating framlits and adhered to the card front using dimensionals.

Fall Flip Open
Here's how the card opens up.
Kind of cool, huh.
Enjoy your long weekend.
As you are out shopping on Black Friday, don't forget to check out the wonderful sale items on the Extravaganza list.

Holiday Home Village

The Holiday Home stamp set from the Holiday Catalog was definitely a stamp set that I didn't need — WRONG!!!  I started seeing a few samples that were adorable so I ordered it.  I have absolutely fallen in love with this stamp set.  There have been so many things to do with this set.  This was one of my favorite cards from my Stamp of the Month Class this month.  I combined my Big Shot of the Month Class with Stamp of the Month so everyone attending the class received both the Holiday Home stamp set and the coordinationg Homemade Holiday Framelits.

Diorama VillageThe base of this card is Cherry Cobbler.  The next layer is Mossy Meadow.  I used the Deco Label Framelits to cut out the center.  Then I used the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder.  I layered this one the Cherry Cobbler card base with a double layer of dimensionals (I put on one dimensional, peeled off the top layer and added another dimensional right on top of the first one).  I stamped the three houses with Memento ink and colored the houses with the Blendabilities (don't forget you can get the whole set of Blendabilities next Monday for only $100).  I cut the houses out with the coordinating framelits (so easy).  The tallest house is adhered flat to the inside of the opening.  The shortest house is adhered with dimensionals inside the opening to the left of the first house.  The last "fancy" house is adhered with dimensionals to the Mossy Meadow layer.

I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I did.  Send me an email with some of the projects you've made using this stamp set.  I would love to see them.
