Sympathy cards aren't my favorite cards to have to make but unfortunately we all need them from time to time and it's best to have them on hand so you don't have to make one when you aren't feeling real creative.
This group of cards was our sixth project at our Stampin' Sisters Retreat. We started with a template made with the Oval Collection Framelits, sponged on some color, stamped the image and added the words, pretty easy, but fabulous cards.
We started by sponging the ovals on the first three cards using Early Espresso ink — next we stamped the images (the first three used Lovely as a Tree stamp set — a classic that everyone should own). The words are from Love & Sympathy stamp set.
Aren't they lovely.
Next we did three cards with Blushing Bride ink sponged in the ovals.
We again stamped the image with Early Espresso ink — this time we used Serene Silhouette stamp set.
Do you feel calm and peaceful yet?
I think this is my favorite card. I love these flowers. Now I am ready with 6 wonderful cards when I need them — I really hope I don't needs any Sympathy cards for a very long time.
Only two projects left from retreat — come back tomorrow for Project 7.
