The final card project for Summer Splash is a fun Road to Christmas in July card set. Everyone received the Road to Christmas Card Kit but I designed alternate cards and a box to put the cards in. My inspiration came from a boxed card set that Lynn Dunn made last year.
Everyone made two boxed set of cards. One set used blue plaid card bases from the Road to Christmas Kit with Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso cardstocks added. The second set used red plaid from the envelopes in the Road to Christmas Kit with Real Red and Basic Black cardstocks added. The red & black cards used greetings from the card kit, while the blue plaid card set used Pretty Poinsettia stamp set for the greetings.
The cards for each color set have the same layouts just different color combination.
I love doing different things with the Card Kits. This double boxed card set stretched what could be made from one $14 card kit and there were supplies left over!! So much fun.
