Last night I held a class featuring the Watercolor Pencils.
These came out in the Occasions Catalog three weeks ago.
I told everyone to get them ordered because I was sure
they would be so popular they would go on backorder
right away. Guess what — I was right.
As of 1:00 pm Central time TODAY the Watercolor
Pencils will be placed in NOT ORDERABLE status.
Stampin’ Up! is turning off the item number until
they have enough stock on the shelves to fill all
backorders and have enough left to fill future orders.
SO — YOU HAVE JUST A FEW HOURS LEFT TO
PLACE YOUR ORDER FOR THE WATERCOLOR PENCILS!!
On to my class.
This class was very popular

Look at everyone had at work.
I work at a Catholic high school during the day
and I’m friends with our art teacher, Erin.
I talked Erin in to teaching the class.
What better way to learn how to use the pencils
and get all the shading than from someone who
teaches art every day.
The class was a hit.
I even did my very first Facebook Live at the class.
Erin and I talked about the different papers
(Whisper White, Shimmery White and Watercolor Paper)
and how each paper gives you a different look.
We made three different cards — one with each paper.
We started with Watercolor Paper because it needed
a little time to dry.

We “scribbled” line with three different colors of pencils
Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point and Bermuda Bay
Then we used an Aqua Painter to wash over the pencils
changing it to look like running ink.
Then we let it dry and stamped over the colors with
Happy Birthday stamp from Super Duper stamp set
with Stazon ink.
