Winter Snow Globe

Did you get snow on Thanksgiving Day?  How about during your Black Friday shopping excursions.  I got a few snow flurries during both of these events.  This cards reminds me of those beautiful snow flurries — all twinkling as it falls.

Snow GlobeThe card base is Basic Grey with a later of Lost Lagoon.  I stamped the Season's Greetings with VersaMark ink and sprinkled with Silver Embossing Powder, then heat embossed it — love this technique.  It is always such a WOW for everyone.  I adhered a 1" x 2 1/2" strip of Silver Foil Cardstock just above the words and then used the Circle Framelits to cut the opening.  I stamped the images from the Holiday Home stamp set on Whisper White cardstock with Stazon and colored with markers.  Then I slipped the stamped and colored Whisper White piece into a 4" x 6" cello bag.  I folded one long side edge over tight and adhered with Fast Fuse adhesive.  Then I added some "snow" that I purchased at a local craft store (I could have added Stampin' Up!'s Dazzling Diamonds but I wanted bigger snowflakes).  Then fold over the top of the cello bag and adhere flat.  Next I added a dimensional to the four corners of the bag and adhered behind the Lost Lagoon cardstock, centering the image in the circle opening.  I added Fast Fuse to the back of the bag and added two dimensionals to the bottom corners and layered on the Basic Grey card base.  Pretty quick and easy and everyone loved this card.  Doesn't it remind you of the snow globes when you were growing up.
