I fell in love with the Mother's Love stamp set as soon as I received my Occasions Catalog. I didn't order it right away because I constantly hear "I don't have a mom, I don't make Mother's Day cards". I still ordered the stamp set because I love the sketchy, whimsical flowers in this set. I also love the font and the words in this set. To me it is not just Mother's Day — yes, it works for that but it is so much more. Ever see that mom in the grocery store with little ones and you remember what it was like. A mom's love — whether is be you, your mom, your daughter, a friend or a stranger in a store — a mom's love is like nothing else.
The base of this card is Basic Black. I added a layer of Strawberry Slush that I used the Large Scallop Thinlit on. I added a layer of So Saffron and last Whisper White that I stamped the words and the flower outlines on with Mememto Ink. I colored the flower insides with markers (Pear Pizzazz and Strawberry Slush) and stamp, cleaned and inked again with Pear Pizzazz and Coastal Cabana).
But, don't forget the inside of the card, especially since it's black
I added a layer of Strawberry Slush, So Saffron and last Whisper White that I stamped the inside words and the cute little flower.
