Next question is at end of this post.

Today's project was the gift that I received at my Team Christmas Party.
Tammy made my gift and it is adorable.
Tammy's Gift Exchange
Look at this adorable bottle tag.
It fits on a wine bottle, any "booze" bottle or even soda or juices.
Tammy made 2 of this tag and 2 each of 2 other designs.

Aren't these all just the cutest.
I love her attention to detail.
I need to go get some bottles of wine to give as gifts so I can use these adorable tags.

Day #7 — Twelve Days of Christmas
Do you put up a Christmas tree?
If yes — a real one or an artificial one??
We started out with a real tree for many years.
We took the kids out to the tree farm to help pick out the tree.
One year a long time ago — when we took the tree out after Christmas it dropped needles all over the floor.  I vacuumed them up and broke our vacuum — it was jammed with needles.  Then as we picked up the stand there was water all over our brand new carpet — the stand had a leak that we didn't know about AND there was sap all over the floor.
That was our last year of a real tree.  We bought an artificial tree the following Christmas.

  1. Yes, we put up a Christmas tree. We used to go cut a live tree down every year when our girls were young. We live 5 minutes from a tree farm. When our oldest went away to college we decided to get an artificial tree. From then on we have put up an artificial tree. I do miss the smell of the live tree but I take care of that with candles! Less messy.

  2. Hmmm. Some similarities here. We put up an artificial tree. One year I got a real tree while Scott (my husband) was out of town. I proceeded to kill our Dyson vacuum by sucking up pine needles. He said never again. Oops! ?

  3. We have a run on similar stories here – We always had a real tree for probably 25 years , then I realized I was getting a nasty cold every year and I am allergic to pine needles so a fake tree now. However once I started working out of the home again, I don’t have the time to put up 15 boxes of Christmas stuff so I trade off between the Christmas village and the tree each year. Burning pine candles helps with the christmasy smell.

  4. We put up an artificial tree which I hang scent sticks in to make it smell like a really tree. Growing up we always had a real tree, my husband grow up in Miami so he always had the shiny fake tree that wasn’t even green. When we first got married we would alternate real tree one year and fake the next but not just fake.

  5. We also have an artificial tree now. When I was a kid, my mom & dad picked out a real tree every year. Each year the tree got bigger & bigger, and my dad would have to cut off some of the top and some of the trunk to get it to fit in the living room. Then we made hot chocolate, played Christmas music and the whole family would decorate the tree. My dad’s specialty was putting on the tinsel, practically strand by strand! I really miss those Christmas trees!!
