Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek

Today I wanted to share a little sneak peek product from the Occasions Catalog coming out on January 4th.  Stampin' Up! has released a video introducing the Window Box Thinlit.
This product is truly beautiful.

Twelve Days of Christmas
Day #8 Winner — Gail D — you pack a lot of stuff into those two days.
We started our Christmas this past weekend at my parents' home.
My sister and both brothers were there along with their kids.
Both of my kids and their families were there.
We were missing one of my nieces and her family.

We work our own Christmas with our children and grand children around
everyone else.  This year my son and family are coming to our house (woot woot).
My daughter and family are much closer but they are staying over night Friday too.
We'll get up Christmas Eve morning and have our Christmas — presents, fabulous New York Strip Roast dinner and then we'll all go to church together.  I am truly looking forward to it.

I almost forgot Day #9
Does Santa still visit the grown ups in your house??

Some say Santa is just for kids.
Sara Douglass — Stampin' Up!'s CEO just explained the
Spirit of Santa to her youngest daughter and I thought
she did a GREAT job of explaining it.
We are all Santa's helpers in many ways but
especially when we think of others.
YES, Santa comes to the grown ups in my house — EVERY YEAR!!!

  1. When I was a child I remember getting confused about Santa because we always opened all our gifts on Christmas Eve. When I finally asked Grandma how that could be, she said very simply “Well, you know how hard it is for Santa to deliver all the gifts on one day so he starts with Norway, because Norway is closest to the North Pole.” That seemed to satisfy me except that we lived in Des Plaines, IL so I asked Grandma, “But we don’t live in Norway…?” Grandma said, “Silly girl, he knows exactly where all the Norwegians live and so our presents come first before anyone else!” I was happy. Even though now as an adult we don’t necesarily follow the Christmas Eve tradition. It is a great story. I so loved my Grandma!
