Beautiful You Watercolor

Our final card in class featured the
Beautiful You stamp set — a new favorite for me.

This time we used Stazon ink on Shimmery White cardstock.

Erin went over the light and dark areas of this stamped
image to help everyone understand where the colors
changed.  They started light with the Old Olive pencil
coloring the skirt and going over the lines (beside the lines)
for the creases to give a look of depth to the skirt.

The top is colored with Melon Mambo pencil.

The umbrella is Basic Gray — again starting light we colored
the whole thing — use the Blender Pen to smooth our the
pencil — then start adding heavier color around the top.
Erin told them to use the Basic Black pencil to add a little
shadow at the bottom of the umbrella.

The lady’s skin is colored with the Calypso Coral pencil
start very light — even touching the Blender Pen to the
top of the pencil and coloring until you get the skin tone
you want.

Beautiful YouWe used the new Lace Doilies — cutting one in half
and attaching to the left side of the card.

I love how this card turned out.
The black cardstock helps give it all a big “pop”.
