I love making framed art pieces.
Today I used the High Tide stamp set to create a fabulous piece of art that is quick to make. I put the finished picture into a 9" x 9" black shadow box frame — so much fun.
This is a gift for one of the teachers at the school I work — we are birthday buddies.
Actually a day apart but close enough.
Shortly after I started working at the school my husband and I went to Door County for a long weekend in the summer. We rented mopeds and drove around for the day and we ran into Tom and Shirley. They love to go to Door County too and when I made this picture it made me think of that trip and running into them so this gift is for Tom.

I used Island Indigo with Black and White accents.
The wood grain pieces are from the Serene Scenery designer paper — I thought this was the perfect finishing touch and added a masculine flair to the picture.
Happy Birthday Tom — I hope you like this!!!
Supplies Needed to Make Your Picture:

Love this idea! But did you notice the picture of the birds flying ( top row, center) is upside down?
Oh My Gosh — No I hadn’t noticed the birds were upside down. No one else comments about this, even the person I gave it to. Poor birds — it must have been windy that day, lol.
This is amazing… I love your idea! Do you have a tutorial or could you please share the dimensions?
Thanks!!
Thank you Christina,
I don’t have a tutorial and I no longer have the picture. I googled the frame and saw a video on how to make the frame. It wasn’t hard — my customers loved making it.
