Elephants for Phuket Elephant Sanctuary

Last night I held my Fast & Fabulous Cards Class but this time with a little twist to it.  It was a fundraiser for the Phuket Elephant Sanctuary.  I so enjoyed the elephants last month when we were in Thailand, I wanted to do something to help out.  We started the class with bags filled with peanuts in the shell.  I tied on a little Thank You tag made using the A Little Wild stamp set and Little Loves Framelits.  What an awesome bundle this is!!!

I had such a blast playing with this stamp set — of course I used the elephant but there is also a lion and an adorable bear with little bees.  The framelit cuts out each animal to be folded in half for a tag like this.  Well, I wanted to make a card so I just cut around the ear to give me a front and back of the elephant.  Here’s one card we made using this bundle.

A Little Wild stamp set, Little Loves Framelit, Marbled stamp, Layering SquaresIt’s a fun peek a boo card with a great Marbled background (this is a must have stamp).  We cut a frame of Basic Grey using the Layering Squares Framelits.

Smoky Slate – 4″ x 5 1/4″ — stamp with Marbled Background stamp and Smoky Slate ink
Stamp “wild about you” with Black ink — attach a Melon Mambo Clear Enamel Shapes
Attach to Melon Mambo card base — cut opening through both layers with Layering Squares Framelits
Basic Grey — 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ — cut with Layering Squares — scallop edge and opening

We always say every little bit helps, right!!!  Our fun little class was able to donate $200 to this wonderful cause, that should help buy the elephants some fruit to eat.  Thank you to those that came to help.  I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
