Life is a Beautiful Thing

This past weekend we had a family reunion on my dad’s side of the family.  Sometimes we dread going to these “mandatory” events but I love going to them every year.  Life is so busy we don’t get together with extended family except this one time a year.  I grew up playing with these cousins — now we all have our own kids and most even have grandkids now but it still always reminds me of those long gone times — remember when…..

Our reunion is held on my parents’ property which is part of my grandpa’s old farm land.  Many of us camp there for the weekend sitting in lawn chairs around the campfire, so this card reminded me of my fun weekend.

I used the Color Theory designer paper for the background.  I cut a great Adirondack chair using the Seasonal Layers thinlits and stamped the words — Life is a Beautiful Thing and the flowers from the Colorful Seasons stamp set.
