Stampin’ Up! designated May 16th as Make a Difference Day. How did I honor this day? I stamped of course — I held a fun stamp night raising funds for Gigi’s Playhouse. Check out all the wonderful things Gigi’s Playhouse does.
This is their Mission Statement:
GiGi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Center’s mission is to change the way the world views Down syndrome through national campaigns, educational programs, and by empowering individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community. We offer free therapeutic and educational programming to individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
Eve is one of my stamping team members. On March 4th, Eve’s family’s lives changed forever. Eve’s daughter gave birth to her second daughter, Laney. Laney is beautiful and she was born with Down syndrome. Eve, her daughter and their entire family are learning lots of new things and they decided they wanted to offer a way for family and friends to help. They decided to join the Gigi’s Playhouse 5K Fun Run to raise funds. This is why I decided to do a stamp class featuring the Share What You Love Suite available during the month of May.
There were 12 people signed up for the class — I added a bit to round our donations up to $500 total. I am so proud of my stampers and their willingness to help. Thank you all for coming and playing.
