Today’s card is another string art card. I mentioned yesterday that we made a wedding/anniversary card with the string art technique. I had a couple of questions asking how did I do a heart. Well, it is a loose heart but it is still heart shaped. Here’s what I made:
How fun is this!!! It also looks like two birds kissing. The greeting is from Another Wonderful Year — this is a fabulous greeting/phrase stamp set in the Annual Catalog and it worked great for this card.
To make the heart I cut a 15″ piece of Whisper White Baker’s Twine — poke the string into Coastal Cabana ink refill to cover all but 4″ of the twine. Put the ink soaked twine on a piece of cardstock to form half a heart — put another piece of cardstock on top and sandwich between a book — apply pressure on the book and pull the string out. Repeat this process on the other half of the cardstock to create the heart image.
