The theme for our Stampin’ Sisters Retreat this year was butterflies and flowers as you saw from our table centerpieces and goodie bags. Our Butterfly Gala Card Set was the next project after lunch and it definitely fit the theme. This project used the Butterfly Gala stamp set and coordinating Butterfly Duet Punch along with the Botanical Butterfly Designer Paper from the Sale-a-Bration Catalog.
I love the black and white color combination. This project had 6 cards covering all occasions and envelopes that we embossed the flaps with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folders.
A quick little note card featuring the Botanical Butterfly Designer paper. We cut the label using the Rose Trellis Thinlits and the butterfly was punched out of the designer paper. So simple but elegant.
These little butterflies are also punched from the designer paper — aren’t they adorable!!!
I love the black gingham background — the butterflies are again from the designer paper. The larger one is cut out with Paper Snips – sorry, no punch for this one.
Aren’t the butterflies in the paper beautiful — the paper is colored and ready for your card front.
We stamped the butterflies, colored them with Light Calypso Coral and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends
and punched them out with the Butterfly Duet Punch.
This designer paper looks like a coloring book — we kept it black and white.
The stamped butterflies are colored with Highland Heather Combo Stampin’ Blends.
T
he final card is very colorful. The designer paper is black and white, we used Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend to color the Black gingham strip and color all of the butterflies.
I can’t decide which card is my favorite — how about you — which card do you like best?
