Fun with Forever Friends Kit

During last night’s FB Live we had some fun with Forever Friends Kit.
The kits are awesome by themselves but it’s fun to see what else you can do with them.

Last week I shared a mini envelope scrapbook using the Boho Beach Kit, last night
I made three alternate cards from pieces of two cards from the Forever Friends Kit.

These are the two cards that this kit was designed to make.
You get supplies to make 8 cards total — 4 of each design.
They are very pretty cards but I wanted to do something different with the pieces.

I added some cardstock for card bases — Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Thick Basic White, Night of Navy and Calypso Coral plus regular Basic White.  The kit comes with a Night of Navy Stampin’ Spot and I added
Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I also used a 2 3/8″ Circle Punch and Ombe Matte Decorative Dots.

Card #1

I cut apart one of the card bases from the kit to use as designer paper.
I used Old Olive for the card base with a layer of Basic White for the front and inside of the card.
The flowers and leaves are one of the pre-printed pieces from the kit — I stamped the outlines with
Memento ink, then fussy cut them and added them to a 2 3/8″ Basic White circle.  The greeting is
stamped with Memento on the bottom panel.  I added the second flower from the panel to another
Basic White layer that is adhered inside the card.

Card #2

I used the yellow card base from the kit and the stamp set.
The flowers and leaves were colored with Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.
Again the flowers and leaves were fussy cut and added to the card front.
The card base is Crushed Curry to coordinate with the dots from the kit card base
that I cut apart.

Card #3

The last card used the pre-printed panel from the kit that I stamped the outlines with
the Night of Navy ink from the kit, then layered it on Calypso Coral and Night of Navy,
then to a Thick Basic White card base.  I used one of the banners from the kit for the
greeting which is also stamped in Night of Navy and adhered it to a piece of Night of Navy.
