Last month’s Coffee, Cocoa & Cards Class was Season of Green & Gold Christmas in July. The combination of the Season of Green & Gold designer paper with the Cherry Cobbler & Pearl adhesive-backed berries must have made for some stunning Christmas cards and a delightful mini gift bag.
Our first card is absolutely stunning! The combination of gold foil and gold sparkle designer paper creates such an elegant and festive look. The Season of Green & Gold designer paper with the Golden Greenery dies is a perfect match for quick and beautiful embellishments.
I found a trick with the Greetings of the Season die set that is genius! There is a hole for ribbon or twine but, if you cut one tag/label, then turn the die around you can cut a second hole making it perfect to thread ribbon through. Coloring the Pearl Adhesive-Backed Berries with a Dark Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend adds a lovely touch of depth and color to the card.
Card #2 is a Double Z-Fold card and so pretty. I just love this checked designer paper and with a mat of Gold Foil under the designer paper it adds a touch of elegance.
Here’s the inside of the card.
Our third card is a Triple Layer Fold Card. I love all the green tones in this card.
Open the first layer to see the beautiful designer paper with touches of gold.
Open it again and you have a spot to write a short message to the recipient.
The final card is an interlocking gate fold card. I saw this fold on Pinterest and had to give it a try. The gold diamond designer paper layer tucks under the Gold Mercury Vellum layer helping to keep the card closed. Such a fun idea.
Here is the inside of the card, I love it!
MIni gift bag
We made this adorable mini gift bag using 1/2 sheet (6″ x 12) of Designer Paper, so that means you can make 24 of these mini gift bags from one package of designer paper — so fun!! This was another idea I saw on Pinterest — it is so quick and easy to whip out a bunch in no time.
Designer Paper — 6″ x 12″
with 6″ at top — score at 1″ and 4 1/2″ (1″ score line folds over to the front – dots) — the 4 1/2″ score line if the bottom of the box
Turn — with 12″ at top — score at 4″, 5 1/2″, 9 1/2″, 11″
Since Designer Papers are on sale beginning tomorrow, you have to give these little bags a try.
Don’t forget Designer Papers are On Sale Beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, August 6th
