Have you checked out the Love Notes Designer Paper yet? It is such awesome paper and makes quick and easy Valentine cards a breeze. I love being able to use colors other than red and pinks for Valentine cards. Gorgeous Grape worked so well for this card – love it!!
Most of the Designer Papers are two-sided but this one is extra special.
The focal point of today’s card was die cut from this 3″ x 3″ square from one of the designer paper prints. I love the Be Mine Heart in the center of the flower bouquet.
But check it out — the opposite side of this print looks the same but doesn’t have Be Mine in the center of the heart. If I used this side of the paper, I could use this card for an anniversary card or even a birthday card by simply adding a greeting under the circle. So Fun!! You have to get some of this designer paper.
Measurements:
Gorgeous Grape — 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ — score at 4 1/4″; 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″
Basic White — 2 pieces — 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
Love Notes Designer Paper — purple print — 3 3/4″ x 5″
Love Notes Designer Paper — flower bouquet — 3″ x 3″
1. Fold Gorgeous Grape card base on score line
2. Adhere purple print designer paper to Basic White, then to card front
3. Die cut 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ Gorgeous Grape with Spotlight on Nature Die
4. Dit cut 3″ x 3″ designer paper with Stylish Shapes Die
5. Attach flower bouquet circle to Gorgeous Grape circle with Dimensionals
6. Attach Gorgeous Grape circle to card front with Dimensionals
7. Adhere second Basic White inside card
8. Add Purple Fine Shimmer Gems to card front
I’m having so much fun making Valentine Cards — I can’t wait to send out a bunch of cards to family & friends. To help build my stash of cards, I am hosting a Valentine Cookie Decorating & Cards Class early next month. We’ll be decorating 3 large and 4-5 mini cookies for Valentine’s Day and then making 4-6 quick & easy but very fun Valentine cards.
