Fun Fall Birthday Box Card

September is a big birthday month in my family, so I decided to make this Fun Fall Birthday Box Card.  This is a simple WOW card that everyone loves.  You can keep it simple with just a message written inside or add a gift card to the back for an extra special gift box card.

The card base is Blackberry Bliss and I used To Market Designer Paper Blackberry Bliss Plaid to decorate the box card.  It is matted on Gold Foil Sheets to coordinate with the Blackberry Bliss & Gold 1/2″ Textured Ribbon (this is a new product available in the September – December Mini Catalog (Holiday Catalog).  I used the Autumn Leaves Dies with Gold Foil Sheet for the leaf on the front.  The Greetings of the Season Dies give me the oval stitched greeting tag – I love this die set!!

When you pull the top up, you show the greeting panel that hides inside the box base.  This card layout is perfect for birthdays and Christmas too.  It’s so much fun — give it a try.  All the measurements are below.

Nothing Like Autumn

I am in LOVE with the Nothing Like Autumn Bundle.  This stamp set and dies is awesome and so fun to work with.  Tuesday I shared a gift card holder I had made during Monday night’s LIVE.  Today I’m sharing the same card layout but this time I turned the card landscape into of portrait.  It still holds a gift card.

This time I used the To Market Designer Paper with Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black cardstock.  The Black & Vanilla Gingham Ribbon was colored with Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends to better coordinate with the card base colors.

Basic Black — 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ — score at 4 1/4″ — then cut top half of the card front off – line up at 2 3/4″ and cut from edge to
score line. Turn the card base and cut on the score line from the top to the cut line at 2 3/4″ Trim the cut off piece to 4″.
