It’s Pumpkin Spice Time

It’s Pumpkin Spice Time and I have the perfect card to celebrate!!  The Nothing Like Autumn Bundle from the Holiday Mini Catalog is available beginning next week (September 4th).  It is perfect for celebrating the cozy vibes of Pumpkin Spice Season.  This is such a versatile bundle, it’s great for Fall, Christmas and Winter.  You can have an Apple Cider, a Pumpkin Spice, Hot Cocoa, Peppermint Hot Cocoa or Mocha and don’t forget the doughnuts too!!

I made my own designer paper using the Sketched Plaid background stamp.  It was stamped with Pecan Pie ink, then I colored the stripes with Light & Dark Pumpkin Pie and Ivory Stampin’ Blends.  The plaid piece was cut into 2 pieces — one for the card front and one for the pocket inside to tuck a gift card in.

The Pumpkin Pie inside layer was embossed with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder from last year’s Holiday Mini and now is part of the Online Exclusive collection.  A Culver’s gift card worked since I didn’t have a Starbuck’s or Dunkin Donuts gift card to tuck inside.

MEASUREMENTS:

Pecan Pie — 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ — score at 4 1/4″ — then cut top half of the card front off – line up at 2 3/4″ and cut from edge to score line. Turn the card base and cut on the score line from the top to the cut line at 2 3/4″ Trim the cut off piece to 4″
2 1/2″ x 4″; 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″
Pumpkin Pie — 4″ x 5 1/4″; 2 pieces — 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″
Basic White — 4 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ — stamp plaid and color, then cut 2 pieces — 2 3/8″ x 3 7/8″ each 2 1/4″ x 3 1/2″;
2 1/4″ x 3 3/4″; 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″

This card is absolutely stunning in person!!  The combination of textures and layers give it a rich, dimensional look.   I die cut Gray Granite with the beautiful tree branch frame die in the Winterly Tree Tops Die Set.  The Birtch Wood 3D Embossing Folder added a realistic touch to the tree branch frame.

The bird was die cut from the designer paper and incorporated with the leafy branch, adding a lovely natural element to the card.  Coloring the branch with Stampin’ Blends brought the branch to life beautifully.
