Gift of Giving with Shining Christmas

Today’s card uses the Gift of Giving with Shining Christmas Designer Paper — YES, we are starting to make cards for the Christmas/Holiday Season.
On September 6th, Stampin’ Up! released FIVE new Designer Papers to coordinate with items from the Holiday Mini Catalog.
I absolutely love this Shining Christmas Designer Paper.  One side of the paper is foil and the other side has a matte finish.
Foil wrapping paper is my favorite so of course I was drawn to this fun holiday paper.  I knew the stripes, candy canes and trees would be perfect with the Gift of Giving Stamp Set.

The Designer Paper coordinates with Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow — again perfect for Christmas!!!
I LOVE this image with Santa hiding behind the stack of presents, so adorable and you don’t have as much coloring to do.

Fun with Autumn Leaves Shadow Box

Today we’re having fun with Autumn Leaves Shadow Box card.
This time I used the new Tartan Foil Designer Paper with the Autumn Leaves Bundle from the Holiday Mini Catalog.
Yes, it’s a week of Shadow Box cards.

The new Tartan Foil Specialty Designer Paper is so amazing — I LOVE it!!!

This time I cut the hole in the card using the new Deckled Circles Dies.
It is such a fun look and was very popular with my stampers at club.
The Autumn Leaves Dies are so gorgeous.  They are a must have even if you don’t get the stamp set,

The back of the card shows the opposite side of the Tartan Foil paper — so pretty.
I stamped off with Copper Clay, then stamped the leaf and added the veins with Copper Clay ink – full strength.
You have to give this fun folder a try — they are so much easier than they look.

  • Basic White – 2 pieces — 4” x 4 1/2″

  • Cajun Craze – 2” x 4 1/4″
  • Crushed Curry – 2” x 2 1/2″
  • Mossy Meadow – 1” x 2”
  • Baker’s Twine – Gray Granite – 2 pieces – 8” each

Tricks & Treats EEK! Halloween Card

I have a fun Tricks & Treats EEK! Halloween Card to share with you today.
The Them Bones Designer Paper provided the Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie color combo.

The color and Designer Paper did all the hard work, then I added the haunted mansion circles with bats on each side.
I just love how this card pops!!

Measurements:

  • Thick Basic White – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ – score at 4 1/4″
  • Basic Black – 4” x 5 1/4″; 3 1/8” x 3 1/8”; 2 pieces – 1 1/2” x 1 1/2″; 3” x 3”
  • Pumpkin Pie – 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”; 2 pieces – 1 3/8” x 1 3/8”
  • Basic White – 3” x 3”
  • Them Bones Designer Paper – 3” x 3”

Instructions:

  • Fold Thick Basic White card base on score line
  • Emboss 3 7/8” x 5 1/8” Pumpkin Pie with Basics (hashtag) 3D Embossing Folder
  • Adhere to Basic Black, then to card front
  • Adhere Designer Paper to Basic Black, then to card front
  • Stamp bats with Memento on both 1 3/8” Pumpkin Pie
  • Adhere 1 3/8” x 1 3/8” Pumpkin Pie, to 1 1/2″ Basic Black, then to card front
  • Punch 3” x 3” Basic White with 2 3/8” Circle
  • Stamp haunted house and “eek” with Memento ink on Basic White circle
  • Die cut 3” x 3” Basic Black with Stylish Shapes Die
  • Adhere stamped Basic White to Basic Blak, then attach to card front with Dimonsionals
  • Add Black Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems!!
