Fabulous Sayings & Days Like This

As we come to the end of January it was time to use this month’s Product of the Month. These cards featuring the Fabulous Sayings & Days Like This Memories & More Card Pack are from January’s Coffee, Cocoa & Cards Class. The Days Like This card pack are used as designer paper on each card. For this class, everyone received half a package of the Memories & More Cards, 3 yards of Garden Green 1/8″ Chevron Ribbon and a package of Dear Dots to embellish the cards.

I used the Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder for the Pool Party layer. Each layer is matted on Basic Black which helps the colors pop. The butterfly was fussy cut from an extra piece of the designer paper card.

For the second card, I cut one of the 4″ x 6″ cards into two pieces and simply stamped the greeting right on the designer paper piece.

I love the color combination of card #3 — Secret Sea, Calypso Coral and Petal Pink. This time we fussy two butterflies from remaining pieces of the designer paper card. The larger butterfly was not a full butterfly, so the edge is tucked under the designer paper layer.

A fun layout for card #4 showing off two different prints. Again, we fussy cut a small butterfly to add above the greeting.

Card #5 has lots of fun elements and the Garden Green 1/8″ Chevron ribbon.

I love the bright and cheery feel of card #6. Daffodil Delight and Basic Black really pop and make me happy. A Black Journalling Pen was used to outline the butterflies.

The final card is a step card which is so fun to make. Each step is decorated with pieces of the card designer paper and fussy cut butterflies. All of the cards have been embellished with the Dear Dots with coordinating colors.

Love Notes Flip Flap Shaker Card

On Monday I shared half of my January Designer Paper Class cards. Yesterday I shared a fun Flip Flap Shaker Card. Today I have a combination of both previous days. These cards feature the Love Notes Designer Paper and feature a Love Notes Flip Flap Shaker Card.

Like yesterday’s Shamrock Flip Flap, this Valentine Flip Flap Shaker starts out a little different than most cards. The adorable hearts are hiding under all the Loose Valentine’s Assortment.

But when you turn the flip flap shaker, TADA, the cute heart and the greeting appear.

Open the card again and you have lots of hearts including heart cutouts in the Basic White layer. The Cherry Cobbler layer peeks through the heart holes.

The second card is also a shaker card, but it is a traditional style with a Window Sheet and Foam Adhesive Strips around the inside edges to keep the Loose Valentine’s Assortment inside the shaker.

The final card is lacy and fun. The drink cup is die cut from the designer paper.
This card would be perfect to tuck a Starbucks gift card inside.


Measurements for these cards have not been included as the Designer Paper Class is a fee-based class. I do have a tutorial available for purchase ($10) or get it FREE with a $40 order.

Shamrock Flip Flap Shaker Card

This week’s Facebook Live is an adorable Shamrock Flip Flap Shaker Card featuring the Seasonal Celebrations Stamp Set, Reason to Celebrate Stamp Set and Pleasant Patterns Specialty Designer Paper. I added Loose Gold Sequin in the Flip Flap and sealed it closed. I love this card layout.

When you first see the card, it’s a little weird seeing only the Gold Sequins but you can tell there is something under it.

When you flip the Flip Flap open you see the “lucky” shamrock — so fun!!!

Then when you open the card, you have a little spot to write a short message and sign your name. So, so fun to make!!
