Impressions Abloom Framed Art

This week’s FB Live was getting us ready for Mother’s Day gift giving with this adorable Impressions Abloom Framed Art. I made a coordinating Mother’s Day card using the same stamp set & dies plus the Patterns of Friendship Die. This die gives a fabulous background to a very simple card.

I love making framed art pieces and this adorable simple frame was no exception. There were some cards made by a fellow demonstrator, Gail Ellis that I saw. Her card layout were great and I decided it was perfect for a framed art piece. I made a couple of adjustments to make this piece my own. Thank you Gail for the inspiration.

Of course I had to make a coordinating card for the wonderful Mother’s Day gift.

The coordinating card is simple but very elegant. Look how fun the Patterns of Friendship background is – I love this. The greeting is from the Greetings For All Ephemera Pack that I adhered to Basic Black and then fussy cut around it. This is pretty quick to do but it really makes the greeting pop!

You Are Remarkable Woven Textures

This weekend I noticed so many flowers are blooming, it definitely says Spring. I thought this You are Remarkable Woven Textures card was perfect for today. It features the Woven Textures Designer Paper that has such awesome prints.

You Are Remarkable Stamp Set, Woven Textures Designer Paper, Tiny Bee Trinkets, Stamp with Peggy

I stamped the greeting and image with Gray Granite ink on the linen looking designer paper. The flowers and leaves are stamped in Crushed Curry and Mossy Meadow inks — no coloring, just stamping. This card is quick and easy to make and has a very elegant look to it.

Measurements:

Gray Granite — 5 1/2″ x 7 1/2″; 3″ x 4 1/4″
Basic White — 4″ x 5 1/4″
Woven Textures Designer Paper — cane weave — 3″ x 5 1/4″
Woven Textures Designer Paper — linen — 2 3/4″ x 4″

I loved working with this stamp set, I used it for a card set for Cabin Fever back in March. You can check it out in the link below.

Meant to Bee Scrapbooking Kit

Have you checked out the Scrapbooking Kits yet? The Meant to Bee Scrapbooking Kit was SO MUCH fun to work with. Stampin’ Up! designs
3 — 2-page layouts that are wonderful but for my monthly Scrapbook Class, I design 6 different pages – 3 — 2-page layouts. I am having so much fun. You have to give it a try!!
Here are the supplies that are in the kit.

Meant to Bee Scrapbooking Kit, Petunia Pop, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Scrapbook Club, Stamp with Peggy

The first two pages focused on the Old Olive and Daffodil Delight color combo. I adhered the “bee-utiful life” stick on to Daffodil Delight cardstock, then fussy cut around it to make it pop a little.

Don’t you love these little bees? The bee on the first page was flying so I added little dashes with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker. On page 2, this fun little bee is holding a heart – so cute.

The second 2-page layout focuses on the Petunia Pop and Old Olive colors in the designer paper. The flowers, hearts and bees are all die cuts in this scrapbooking kit.

I love the Bubble Bath hexagon and greeting behind the bee on this page.

I used the Basic Black Marker for some stitching around the bee die cut.
And of course a bee needs flowers to make honey — so cute.

The third 2-page layout is so soft and subtle in Pool Party. It could be perfect scrapbook pages for a newborn baby boy.

More marker stitching around the bees — so cute!!
