Hey There Friend – Darling Donkeys

I shared a fun Valentine’s Darling Donkeys card with you last week.
Today I am sharing another fun donkey card I made with my 8 year old granddaughter.

 

Darling Donkeys, Greenery Embossing Folder, Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pen, Stamp with Peggy
For this card I started with Flirty Flamingo and added a layer of Sahara Sand.
The Flirty Flamingo layer on top was embossed with the Greenery Embossing Folder.
Watercolor Pencils worked great to color the donkey and then blend him out using a Blender Pen.
I just love this stamp set, I think it is so versatile.

This card has a little extra but is perfect for beginner stamps
(my 8 year old granddaughter loved it and did very well)
but is also a great quick card for stampers of all levels.

I used the True Love Designer Paper and the Resin Hearts to add the “love” feel to the card.

Black Cardstock — $8.75
Basic White — $9.75
Resin Hearts – $7.00
Stampin’ Seal Refill — $5.50

True Love Darling Donkeys

Measurements:

  • Real Red – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ – score at 4 1/4″
  • Basic Black – 4” x 5 1/4″
  • True Love DSP – 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”
  • Real Red – 2” x 3 7/8”
  • Basic Black – 3/4″ x 3 7/8”
  • Basic Black – 2 3/8” x 3 1/2″
  • Real Red – 2 1/4″ x 3 3/8”
  • Whisper White – 2 1/2” x 3 1/2″ – die cut Stitched So Sweetly scallop rectangle

 Instructions:

  • Fold Real Red in half on score line
  • Adhere True Love DSP to Basic Black and then to card front
  • Adhere 3/4″ x 3 7/8” Basic Black to 2” x 3 7/8” Real Red and to card front
  • Stamp donkey with rose on Whisper White scallop rectangle with Memento ink
  • Stamp “HEE HAW”
  • Color donkey with Smoky Slate, Petal Pink and Real Red Stampin’ Blends
  • Adhere to Real Red and Basic Black
  • Attach to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Add Resin Hearts – 2 white on Real Red band and two red hearts by donkey
