Snowman Season Double Z Fold

I love, love, love the Let it Snow Suite.  The designer paper is absolutely gorgeous and the snowmen images are just plain fun.  We aren’t ready for the snow we’ve been getting but when you look at this stamp set it kind of makes it all ok — winter is upon us so we might as well embrace it for now.

I picked the color combo from the designer paper and I love the cheerfulness of it.
There is lots of movement happening on this card and little surprises.

It’s a Field of Snowmen

Oh, I had so much fun with the Let it Snow Suite.  We were building lots of snowmen.  This card used all three snowmen from the Snowman Season stamp set.  This is such a fun, whimsical card, it makes me smile and think of my grandchildren.

Snowman Season Stamp Set, Snowman Builder Punch, Christmas, Stamp with Peggy

I started with Shaded Spruce base, added a layer of Cherry Cobbler and last the Whisper White for stamping.
We stamped the snowman with the stocking hat on the right side with Memento.
I punched a hat from the designer paper.
Next the little snowman throwing snowballs.
With a scrap of Whisper White, stamp the “bald” snowman and punch him out.
Then I cut his head off with Paper Snips.
I used Stampin’ Blends to color the snowman hat and scarf with Light Shaded Spruce and Light Cherry Cobbler, the noses are Light Pumpkin Pie.
The Let it Snow Embellishment Kit was use to add the coal to each snowman.
I JUST LOVE THIS CARD — I hope you do too.

Christmas Countdown Project Kit

Have you seen the Christmas Countdown Project Kit — page 38 of the Holiday Catalog?
This is such a fun kit that can be put together in an hour to hour and a half.

The kit comes with the sturdy countdown box with 25 individual boxes, designer paper pieces cut to fit each box, stickers to decorate the boxes and circles with the numbers.

You will need the Christmas Countdown stamp set, 3 stamp pads (Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow and Early Espresso), Clear Block, Adhesive and Dimensionals.

Christmas Countdown stamp set has great images that can be used well after Christmas.

I spent the weekend in Minneapolis with my youngest grand children.
My grand daughter will be 7 next week.  She loves to do craft projects.
I thought this kit could be a fun activity for her and I to do – I was right.
We had a great time together and she did most of the work — I helped with the glue so we didn’t have it every where.  She did all of the stamping and assembling.  Then she filled the boxes with treats from their Halloween buckets — their Christmas Countdown box is sitting on the fireplace hearth just waiting for December 1st.
What a great time and I hope a great memory together.

She did a great job with all of the stamping.

I think she enjoyed the assembling the most.  She was very careful with each piece.

Look at that proud smile.

You still have time to order your kit and get it assembled before December 1st.
I promise it was super simple to do and so worth the memories.
