In Colors and Woven Heirlooms

Have you seen the new In Colors yet?  This year there is a whole suite for the In Colors (page 12-14).  I am so excited by everything in the suite.  There is a stamp set (Woven Heirlooms), a die & embossing folder bundle (Heirloom Frames & 3D Embossing Folder), Woven Threads Designer Paper, Woven Threads Sequin Assortment and Woven Threads Trim.  It is completely different that anything we’ve had in the past.

This doesn’t do the colors justice — you really have to see them in person.  I can’t decide on a favorite but I’ve had lots of fun playing with them already.

I LOVE this color combo (Seaside Spray and Terra Cotta Tile — I would not have put these colors together but it definitely works.  The vintage feel of this designer paper is fabulous.

Hand Made Cards / New Products / Sympathy

Annual Catalog Bingo

Last week I held my Annual Catalog Kick Off playing Bingo and using some new products.  We had so much fun.  Everyone received a Copper Tea Tin that was decorated with the Daisy Lane stamp set.  This is a new set that you are going to love.  It coordinates with the Daisy Punch and there is even a smaller daisy with a brand new punch.

The Copper Tea Tin gave me the start for their treat holder — these tins are carrying over into the New Catalog.  I added a piece of Silver Foil cardstock and the fun new Terracotta Tile cardstock (one of the new In Colors).  The greeting was stamped with Memento ink and then Terracotta Tile ink stamped flowers all over the cardstock.  Stamp the daisy twice with Crumb Cake ink on Whisper White cardstock and punched out, they were adhered together.  The ends were rolled with a Bone Folder to give the flower a little dimension.  It was attached with Dimensionals.  I put some Puppy Chow snack mix inside the tin.

Everyone also received a cute little chocolate nugget treat holder using all 5 In Colors — Rococco Rose, Purple Posy, Pretty Peacock, Terracotta Tile and Seaside Spray.  I am LOVING these new In Colors — good thing we have them for 2 years.

In between rounds of Bingo we play Heads or Tails.  This was the first time we played this and everyone had a blast.  It was fun to watch them.  Everyone was concentrating very well.

  • Misc. – 2019-2021 In Color 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper (DSP) (149617); Smoky Slate Combo Stampin’ Blends (145058); Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends (146866); Dark Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends (147944); Dark Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends (147030); Stitched Shapes Dies (145372); Layering Squares Dies (141708); Dimensionals (104430)

Measurements:  

  • Night of Navy:     4 1/4” x 5 1/2”                   2 1/4” x 4 3/4″         3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″
  • Seaside Spray:    4” x 5 1/4”
  • Whisper White:    3” x 3”
  • DSP:                   2” x 4”         

Instructions:

  1. Stamp “over the moooon for you!” with Memento Ink on Seaside Spray cardstock
  2. Score 2 1/4″ x 4 3/4″ Night of Navy at 4” – attach 3/4″ flap to back of Seaside Spray
  3. Attach Seaside Spray to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Night of Navy card base
  4. Stamp cow with Memento ink on Whisper White – cut out with 2nd largest square from Stitched Shapes Dies
  5. Cut out Night of Navy scallop square using the Layering Squares Dies
  6. Color cow – hoofs and spots with Dark Smoky Slate, muzzle with Light Petal Pink, bell with Dark Mango Melody, moon with Dark Pineapple Punch. Underline with Light Smoky Slate
  7. Adhere squares layers and attach to front flap with Dimensionals (don’t put dimensionals on the right side of the squares or you’ll seal you card shut).Over the Moon Stamp Set, 2019-2021 In Colors Designer Paper, Stamp with Peggy
