Pretty Kitty Birthday for Emma

A fun little card with retiring stamp set — Pretty Kitty.  I just love this Pretty Kitty birthday card — I think it’s going to be mailed to my great niece Emma.  I think this little kitty is so adorable.

Pretty Kitty Stamp Set, 2017-2019 6" x 6" Designer Paper, Retiring List, Birthday, Stamp with Peggy

This card is full of retiring items.  I used Black mats between Berry Burst cardstock and Lemon Lime Twist 2017-2019 In Color Designer Paper (both are retiring).  The Stitched Rectangle Dies gave the top layers a fun look.  My kitty was stamped with Memento ink and colored with Smokey Slate Stampin’ Blends, assorted color of Stampin’ Blends were used to color the flowers.  Hope Your Birthday was added below the kitty.

Best Route – Do Something Awesome

It’s coming up on graduation time and the Best Route Suite is perfect for graduation cards.  Do Something Awesome Every Single Day is one of the stamps in the En Route stamp set.  The other stamps are “You Never Cease to Amaze Me”, “You’re Going Places”, “Adventure Awaits” and “You’re Pretty Great”.  I think each one of these phrases would be wonderful on a simple card.  Today’s card is very quick and easy — great for mass producing grads.  A fellow demonstrator, Joyce Whitman, shared this layout recently and I knew it was perfect for this Designer Paper.

The color combo (Blueberry Bushel, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White) is bright and cheery and I think works great for masculine cards.

This designer paper has wonderful patterns that add some interesting texture to the cards.  By turning the greeting like a diamond we’ve added a bit more appeal to a very simple card.

A Little Wild — Honey Bear

I love the memories I get when pulling out retiring stamp sets.  The stamp set A Little Wild was a fun favorite and especially this little Honey Bear.  This set has a coordinating framelit set (Little Loves) which makes it so easy to cut out the pieces — especially the little bees — we added six bees to this card.  I picked the color combo from the Share What You Love Designer Paper.

A Little Wild Stamp Set, Little Loves Framelits, Share What You Love Designer Paper, Hexagons Embossing Folder, Retiring List, Stamp With Peggy
Mossy Meadow — 4 1/4″ x 11″ –score at 5 1/2″

Old Olive — 4″ x 5 1/4″
Share What You Love Designer Paper — cut 2 pieces 1″ x 5 1/8″
Mossy Meadow — 2 3/4″ x 5 1/8″
Whisper White — 2 5/8″ x 5 1/8″
Old Olive — 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ — cut with smallest scallop oval
Whisper White — 4″ x 5″ — stamp bear, hive, bees twice with Memento ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends
Cut with framelits — attach bear and hive with dimensionals — attach bees with Glue Dots

What supplies are on the retiring list:  A Little Wild Stamp Set, Little Loves Framelits, Share What You Love Designer Paper, Hexagon Embossing Folder.  Don’t forget, these items are while supplies last.
