Enough SNOW Yet!!

Our winter in the Midwest has been unbelievable this year.  We started January with crazy warm weather — we were in the low 50’s a couple days.  Then temps dropped into teens and lower with strong winds causing -50 and below with wind chill factor.  In the middle of all of this we got major snow storms.  This was one time everyone was happy when the weather WAS wrong.

With all this craziness I thought this page was the perfect way to start our 2019 Scrap & Go Club scrapbook album.  My Scrap & Go Club meets for 10 months (February – November) and we make a two page spread for each month except January and December, we make one page each.  This completes an album covering the whole year.

Here is the page for January.

Letters for You Stamp Set, Snowflake Sentiments Stamp Set, Snow, January, Scrapbook Page
This page is very sweet and simple and have enough blank spaces to add those fun pictures of everyone playing in the snow.  You could also put pictures of the amazing beauty after a fresh snowfall or the ice hanging from everything after the ice storm.

Sale-a-Bration 2nd Release — brand new items available with a $50 or $100 order.
That’s right, Stampin’ Up! has some fabulous new items that you can choose when you place an order of $50 or higher — order $100 and choose 2 new items OR 1 of the $100 items.

Check out the video of the wonderful new Painted Seasons Bundle — this is my favorite new item (well, except for the new embossing folder)

Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

Happy Valentine’s Day to each of you!!  Many say this is a Hallmark holiday — that may be true but I think it is a wonderful day to tell everyone how much they mean to you.  I mailed a bunch of Valentine’s cards the other day – just to share the love and some happy mail with others.

Last night was the first Scrap & Go Class.  We had a great time making one page for January to start our year long album.  I’ll share that page tomorrow, today I had to share one last project for Valentine’s Day — a double spread Valentine scrapbook pages.  I really like how they turned out.

Tea Room Designer Paper, Be Mine Stitched Framelits, Valentine's Day, Scrapbook

Tea Room Designer Paper, Be Mine Stitched Framelits, Valentine's Day, Scrapbook
I started with Calypso Coral bases with a layer of Petal Pink and the Tea Room Specialty Designer Paper.  The Be Mine Stitched Framelits were used to cut out the heart (used the scallop heart with the stitched heart inside) — cutting 3 Calypso Coral and 3 Petal Pink.  Dimensionals were used on the back to hold the two layers together and then “popped” up on the page.

I can’t wait to add some fun pictures to these pages.

Valentine Treat Holder

Treat holders are fun to make and when it is a bit unique it is even better.  I was at a Leadership event this past weekend and today’s project was one of the 3-D swaps.  I didn’t swap but I did take pictures of the amazing things that others made.  This candy bar holder was a project I had never seen before and it looks pretty quick to put together.

Since I didn’t receive one I don’t have the measurements but it is definitely a project I will be making so stay tuned for some measurements and directions — maybe I’ll even do a Facebook Live demonstration of it — fingers crossed.
