A Little Christmas Fun with Stylish Christmas

I know it’s only August but we all know how quickly time flies by so in my opinion it’s never too early to start working on Christmas cards.  The Stylish Christmas stamp set is quick and easy to use and gives you a fun layer looking stamped image.  Just use a marker to add some fun squiggles and dots around the edge to help put the finishing touches on this card.

Bokeh Dots Meets Dandelion Wishes

I finally pulled out my Bokeh Dots stamp set — wow, I love it.  It is a fun background stamp that give lots of depth and character to your cards.  I added the Dandelion Wishes stamp set for a fun, whimsical card.  The greeting that I added works for a Get Well card or just to let someone know you are sending good thoughts their way.

I used a Sponger Brayer to ink the Bokeh Dots background stamp with Coastal Cabana ink — using the stamp pad directly on the stamp gave it too much ink and the image didn’t stamp right.  I also used the Stamparatus for help in centering the image.  The combination of Stamparatus and Sponger Brayer made it quick and simple to stamp the image, going over the stamp a second time if needed for complete coverage.

Southern Serenade Happy Birthday

I have fallen in love with the lacy image from Southern Serenade stamp set.  For this card it gives a soft texture background using Smoky Slate ink and then the flowers are the focal point with plenty of layers.

The flowers are Happy Birthday are stamped with Stazon and colored with Pear Pizzazz and Powder Pink Markers.  The flower image and layers are cut out using the Layering Ovals Framelits.
