Animal Outing with the Leaf Ribbon

I’ve played with this Rhino a few times and I just love him — yes I think it’s a “he”.  I used Smoky Slate and Soft Sea Foam with Tranquil Texture designer paper.  I need something where the designer paper went over the Soft Sea Foam cardstock (I don’t like a blunt of).  A piece of Leaf Ribbon worked perfect.  If you haven’t tried this ribbon you absolutely have to — it is wonderful and lots of fun.

Of course the Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends were the perfect solution for coloring the Rhino.  The Light Crumb Cake worked for the tusk once I used the Color Lifter to lighten the color just a bit.

Thinking of You with Stitched Labels Framelit

The Nature’s Poem Suite has such wonderful products.  This card is “thinking of you” which works great for a sympathy card or just to let someone know you care about them.

Nature's Poem Designer Paper, Rooted in Nature Stamp Set, Stitched Labels Framelit
I started with a Tranquil Tide base and added a layer of Sahara Sand that is embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder (this embossing folder is an absolute must have).  Then a piece of the Nature’s Poem designer paper is added to the bottom.  A piece of the Tea Room Ribbon is added at the top of the designer paper.  I used the Stitched Labels Framelits to cut the Copper Foil label.  Thinking of You is stamped on Whisper White with Tranquil Tide ink.  I also stamped the leaves with Tranquil Tide ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut out with the framelits.

Petal Promenade Lacy Happy Birthday

I love when I’m working with a product I’m not sure what to do with it.  For this card, I started with the Petal Promenade Designer Paper.  I needed to get 30 cards from the two sheets of this designer paper print.  I calculated the largest size I could get and started designer around that.  The designer paper in the center as the focal point – then what.  I’m not big on plain cardstock so I added layers around the designer paper and then stamped the lacy image from Southern Serenade stamp set.  That added just the right touch, don’t you think so?  I added that Happy Birthday banner strip across the center to finish off the card.
