Every Day With You is a Picnic

This past week I pulled out some of the bundles from the Occasions Catalog that I haven’t used yet.  Yes, that right, just like you I buy things that sit on my shelf and don’t get any ink.  I decided it was time to play with some of these forgotten items.  The first one is the Picnic With You Bundle featuring the Picnic With You stamp set and the Picnic Basket Builder Framelits.  On my, what fun this was to play with.  You could pack whatever you want inside you picnic basket.

As you can see I went for bread, cheese and wine.  This fun bundle is retiring along with the Rose Red card base and the Wild Wasabi cardstock.

Nature’s Poem Suite Surprise

Here is my final Nature’s Poem Suite project from my On Stage presentation.  This project features all the products in the suite in an adorable card set complete with a carrying case and a “sweet” treat package.  These cards cover many occasions — birthday, thank you, sympathy and all occasion.  I have used a bit of a feminine touch to this project with Petal Pink giving a softer feel.

A quick tote for storing the cards and envelope which is beautiful to put in a cello bag for a beautiful present.

I love the soft feel the Garden Trellis Embossing Folder gives.  To add a little more texture I used the embossing thinlits and cut out with the leaves framelit.  The greeting “Be Strong, Be Happy, Be You” was stamped and trimmed with Paper Snips and attached with Mini Dimensionals.  I separated a piece of the Grapefruit Grove twine into three strands and tied a small bow in the center.

A very gentle Sympathy card.  I used the Rock & Roll Technique on the leave — ink stamp with Petal Pink and then roll the edges of the stamp in Cajun Craze and stamp on the Whisper White Stitched Circle.

I stamped the leaf with Cajun Craze for the background.  The tree is the focal point of the thank you card.  I added a bronze leaves trinket and colored three pearls with the Bronze Stampin’ Blend.

I love the fun layout of this card — lots of texture here with the linen looking designer paper, twine, leaves and fun square cutouts.

We can’t have a Suite Surprise without a “Sweet” Treat Package.

I decorated a Mini Pizza Box with the Nature’s Poem designer paper and a bronze Leaves Trinket.

Nature’s Poem Assorted Cards

The Nature’s Poem Suite covers card making for all events.  Here is another group of cards I made for my presentation at On Stage.  I know I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again — the versatility of this suite is fabulous.

I started with the Nature’s Poem designer paper when designing this card.  I pulled the color combo from the paper too – Soft Suede card base with a 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer of Cajun Craze and the designer paper is 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″.  I used markers to ink the stamps this time — Tranquil Tide, Soft Suede and Cajun Craze.

This “Just for You” card has a calming effect to me.  The card base is Tranquil Tide with a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ layer of Soft Suede and 3 3/4″ x 5″ of Whisper White.  I inked trees with Tranquil Tide and Soft Suede Markers, stamping once, breathing on the stamp and stamping it a second and repeat.  Just for You is stamped with Soft Suede and punched out with 3/4″ Circle Punch and layered on 1 1/4″ circle of Tranquil Tide. I sponged a little Soft Suede behind the trees.

This was a fun card — I stamped the leaf four times with Tranquil Tide ink and cut out with the coordinating Nature’s Roots framelits.

I love the wood grain look of this piece of the Nature’s Poem designer paper.  This card is great for a masculine card.

The Nature’s Poem designer paper gives a great display area for the Nature’s Poem Designer paper.  Here I separated the twine into separate strands — tied a knot in the center and attached an Aged Copper Leaves Trinket under the tree.  This card works as a sympathy card.

The final card in this grouping works great for a birthday card or just to let someone know you are thinking about them.
