Santa’s Workshop 2025

I had a very busy weekend as I designed projects for my Santa’s Workshop 2025!! This is an event where participants get to choose which items they want to make and how many of each item. These items make wonderful stocking stuffers, Secret Santa gifts or fun little gifts for co-works, teachers, bus drivers, post office workers, etc. I hold the in person event for 5+ hours on a Sunday afternoon and then again for 3+ hours the following Monday evening. Some come and make just a few items and others make a ton of gifts and they come both times so they can get everything finished. Kits are available by mail if someone isn’t close enough to come in person.

Here’s a couple of my favorite items.

Have you been Naughty or Nice this year?
The recipient won’t know until they open this little box but inside there are lumps of coal. Not really — these “coal” Tic Tacs are actually sour cherry flavor but so cute.

I love this adorable little mailbox. The little box inside the mailbox holds a Santa Pez Dispenser and 3 packs of Pez candies. I have to thank Angie Pyjas for the inspiration on this one. I loved her mailbox so I made size adjustments to fit my little gift and I think it turned out so cute!!

We all have those difficult to gift teens or men in our lives. This gift box is the perfect solution. Inside the box is a bag of Chex Snack Mix – doesn’t everyone love those. But the best part is the trees on the front of the box. Really? Yes, it actually opens and there is a spot to hold a gift card. It’s the perfect gift — a snack and a gift card all in one!!

Cozy Christmas Paper Pumpkin Alternates

Today I’m sharing my Cozy Christmas Paper Pumpkin Alternates. Each month I offer a class featuring the Paper Pumpkin Kit that month, but I make different cards or projects with the supplies. Most month’s I use just one of each piece from the kit and then I add cardstock. Occasionally I add embellishments or ribbon that aren’t part of the kit.

The October kit was Cozy Christmas.

This kit had fabulous card bases and some fun die cut pieces to go with the card bases. I used one of each card base and cut them in half adding Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, Garden Green, Pecan Pie, Thick Basic White and Basic White cardstock. I created six alternate cards from these pieces, leaving lots of supplies left to make 6 cards as the kit was designed. The Christmas color combination was wonderful and I had a blast making these cards. I did get some inspiration from cards I saw online but tried to make them my style with a few changes.

The first card is a Z-Fold. I used the new Beautiful Patterns Embossing Folder on the Garden Green layer. Next I die cut one of the red card base halves with the largest Branching Out Die. I stamped the greeting on the back of the ornament for a fun different look for my card. The red sequins were in the kit.

Fellow demonstrator, Rachael Tessman did a card with this layout. I loved the Pecan Pie sparkle — it is the flap off one envelope – the excess is trimmed off.
This was so much fun.

This card was one I saw online – I loved the ornament cut in half. I made a couple of little changes but loved how it turned out. JOY is one of the die cut from Abundant Joy Dies, which is a quarterly add-on for Paper Pumpkins — October, November & December.

The Gold Foil label on this card was another die cut from the Add-On Dies. It definitely gave this card some simple elegance.

I’ve made a couple of diagonal fold cards lately. I thought it was perfect for this Christmas tree image.

The final card is a wonderful gift card holder. The gift card pops up in the center when the card is opened. It is so much fun!!

The deadline for my November Paper Pumpkin Alternates Class is this Sunday, November 9th.

I will ship the kits the first week of December so you have time to assemble and use them for Christmas this year. The cost is $45 for pick up or $53 to mail kit if you want the full Paper Pumpkin Kit which includes my alternate supplies, Paper Pumpkin pieces cut and PDF Tutorial to assemble. Option #2 does not include the Paper Pumpkin Kit but does include all my alternate supplies plus the PDF Tutorial to assemble. The cost for Option #2 is $24 for pick up or $29 to mail the kit to you.

Fun with Modern Christmas

Today I have a little Fun with Modern Christmas Designer Paper and the Ornamental Christmas Bundle. These cards were part of October’s Designer Paper Class. This designer paper is absolutely gorgeous and also has a little playful whimsey in it.

The first card uses the whimsey prints. What is more fun than the falala print? Do you start singing when you see this paper — I sure do!!
The black dots add to the fun feeling of this card. A little elegance is added with the Gold Foil in the trees.

With Card #2, we see the elegance in this paper. The Black with Gold stars is so pretty. The Silent Snowfall Designer Paper background adds a little more fun. Gold Foil star brings the full spirit of Christmas to this card.

Card #3 is full of fun with a Faux Step Fold. I love the Large Gold Hoop added around the ornament.
