Metallic Textures Rub-Ons

This week’s Facebook Live features the Metallic Textures Rub-Ons. These are new in the Annual Catalog. They are super simple to use and so much fun. I used the Timeless Plaid Designer Paper to coordinate with Mossy Meadow for a great masculine birthday card.

I had so much fun with the rub-ons, I also made a feminine version of this card. So many possibilities that I can’t wait to play some more.

Sending Warm Wishes

This Sending Warm Wishes card is filled with lots of special touches and is sent to every one of you!! I’ve been absent the last week and a half as I was spending necessary time with my family. My mom was declining quickly and unfortunately, she passed away last Monday, June 16th. It was so good to have all four of us “kids” together with my dad as we went through this difficult time. So many of you sent me warm and heartfelt messages and I can’t Thank You enough. I’m trying to jump back in again but I know it will be slow going — thank you for your patience.

The beautiful embossed flowers on the left was done with the Glass & Gardens Embossing Folder. This embossing folder set creating stunning textures for your cards. The right portion of the card front is a piece of the Irresistible Designs Specialty Paper that I colored with Strawberry Slush ink and a Blending Brush.

Extraordinary Flora You’re So Kind

Have you tried the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape yet? Oh My Gosh it is amazing!! This beautiful Extraordinary Flora You’re So Kind card was made with the washi tape. It is so quick and easy but absolutely gorgeous. This washi tape has over 60 sets of flowers. One set is purple flowers and the other is pinks. It is so fun to work with.

For this card, I adhered the strip of purple flowers washi tape to a piece of Basic White cardstock, laid the Extraordinary Flora Dies over the flower images — it lines up perfectly and cut all of the flowers at one time. It’s so awesome.

MEASUREMENTS:

Thick Basic White — 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ — score at 4 1/4″
Basic White — 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″; 3 1/2″ x 4 7/8″; 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″

1. Fold Thick Basic White on score line
2. Die cut 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Basic White with Textured Notes Die (3 7/8″ x 5 1/4)
3. Adhere to Basic White card base
4. Stamp “You’re So Kind” with Memento ink on bottom right corner of 3 1/2″ x 4 7/8″
5. Apply the Washi Tape to the 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Basic White and die cut flowers
6. Adhere leaves and flowers to 3 1/2″ x 4 7/8″ Basic White — leaves are flat and flowers are attached with Dimensionals
7. Attach layer to card front with Dimensionals
8. Add Iridescent Pearls to card front
