Fall Fest – Project 5 — Treat Holders

We have made it to the final Fall Fest project.  I don’t know about you but I love to give little treat holders to friends and co-workers during the holiday season.  So to help everyone get a start on little gift items, Project 5 was treat holders.  In this project, we used the Treat Tubes, Mini Pizza Box and an Acetate Card Box.

Each treat holder was quick to assemble so it’s easy to make a bunch of them so you are ready to pass them out to everyone you know.

The first treat holder held two of the Treat Tubes (we filled our with white Sixlet candies).
We used the adorable little snowman from Seasonal Chums stamp set — colored him with markers — Real Red, Black, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Sahara Sand.  Then we cut him out with the coordinating Seasonal Tags Framelits and cut that apart to use only the front of the snowman tag.  The Merry Little Christmas designer paper was the perfect black & white snowflake theme.

Next we cut a Acetate Card Box in half and created a fun cassette tape style treat holder.
The Merry Little Christmas designer paper slipped right inside the half a box — we added layers of circles which were cut out using Layering Circles and Stitched Shapes Framelits and the adorable little reindeer from Seasonal Chums stamp set.  He was colored with markers — Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Real Red, Crushed Curry and then he was cut out using the Seasonal Tags Framelit — we cut him in half using only the front part of the tag.  Last we added a little Velcro Dot to hold the treat inside the box.

We ended this project with a Mini Pizza Box that we put through the Winter Wonder Embossing Folder — so cool how that will emboss cardboard too.  We put a York Peppermint Patty inside the box, wrapped the Striped Ribbon around the box and stuck the ends together with Glue Dots.  We added two Green Sprigs with Glue Dots, a Mini Ornament also with Glue Dots and then a box tied from the Striped Ribbon added over all the others.  This time we used the whole snowman tag and tied it on with some Silver Metallic Thread.

I hope you enjoyed all the fun projects that we did.  Tomorrow I’ll share the final Take Home Project which everyone received before they left.

We are at the half way point for the Fall Fest projects.  I hope you have enjoyed the first 3 projects.  Today I want to share Project 4 with you.  It is an assortment of cards using the Merry Cafe Stamp Set — 2 Halloween, 2 Fall and 2 Christmas cards.  I used an assortment of designer papers — one is part of the Buy 3 Get 1 FREE sale that ends on Oct. 31 (Christmas Around the World).  The other two are fabulous papers from the Holiday Catalog — Spooky Nights and Merry Little Christmas.

Fall Fest – Project 3 – Fun Fold Cards

Project 3 at Fall Fest was fun fold cards.  I love making cards that have different folds and with inspiration from fellow demonstrators we have a couple of great cards.  I love the elegance and sparkle of these two cards.  They are beautiful just like this but wait until you see them opened up.

Fall Fest, Fun Folds, Year of Cheer designer paper, Foil Snowflakes, Silver Foil Sheets, Gold Foil Sheets, Christmas

The card was cased from Lisa Curcio – it’s a corner fold with an adorable peek through window.

We used Cheers to the Year stamp set, Year of Cheer designer paper, Year of Cheer Washi Tape and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set for the Merry Christmas banner.

The card opens up and the inside background folds down flat (for the floor of the card) exposing the Merry Christmas greeting.  Isn’t this just adorable.

Now on to the second card.  I saw lots of this fun fold card last year and never got around to making it.
The template is just a little challenging so I had that part done for everyone but it is such a wow card.

I love the the sweet simplicity of this card — lots of glimmer and sparkle.
The Year of Cheer designer paper with the fun firework bursts roll with the Celebrate a Wonderful Year.
This card would be wonderful to wish a Happy New Year or how about a birthday card.
Wait until you see it opened up.

Tada — I love the movement of this card.  The center panel pops up when you open the card.
Lots of ohhhs and awwwwes when they saw this card.

Both of these cards have definite WOW factors for the person receiving them.
I hope you’ll give them a try.
