Getting Ready for Dad

It’s time to start thinking about Father’s Day — it’s only a month away.  We all know those masculine cards are much harder to make that our fun girly cards.  The Urban District stamp set is a perfect match to help you design great “guy” cards.

* Card Base — Thick Whisper White — 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
* Delightful Dijon — 4″ x 5 1/4″
emboss with Hexagon Embossing Folder
*Basic Gray — 4″ x 5 1/4″
* Whisper White — 3 3/4″ x 5″
add pieces of Urban District Washi Tape at top and bottom
stamp D-A-D with Smoky Slate ink
color Pearls with a Silver Sharpie Marker — add one to each letter as shown

Eastern Palace – To Think of You

I’ve been playing with the Eastern Palace Bundle items while waiting for the new Annual Catalog to be available.  Don’t forget the special bundles with extra FREE items are available for just a short time yet.  Today’s card started with the designer papers which helped me pick Tranquil Tide cardstock for the card base.  I added a layer of Gold Foil Sheet to mat the designer paper, then I added more patterns of the designer paper.  The greeting is stamped with Tranquil Tide ink.  I used the Eastern Medallion Thinlits to cut the starburst from Dapper Denim cardstock.  Isn’t the Gold Vinyl Sticker in the center just adorable.

Eastern Palace Designer Paper with Tranquil Tide cardstock and Gold Foild SheetsWith such an elegant card we just had to decorate the inside a little too.  I added a 1/2″ strip of the Dapper Denim designer paper to the bottom of Very Vanilla cardstock.  There is plenty of room to write a note to the card recipient.
