Just a Note

Do you ever send a card to someone just because — that's right, no birthday, no anniversary, no holiday, no special reason at all!!!
Today I have a card for you to send just to say HI!!!
Flourishing Phrases
Isn't it pretty???
So very sweet and simple yet very elegant.
The inside is a piece of Whisper White cardstock all ready for you to write a quick little note to let someone know that today you were thinking about them.

This card is also a little sneak peek of one of the new 2017-2019 In Colors.
This is Fresh Fig and it is a very fun shade of purple.
It's deeper that Rich Razzleberry and I think it's a very rich color.
You'll be able to order this great new color starting June 1st.

Card Tips:
* Card Base — Fresh Fig — 4 1/4" x 11"
* Whisper White — 4" x 5 1/4"
* Fresh Fig — 3" x 4"
* Whisper White — 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"
* Fresh Fig — 1" x 2 1/4"
* Whisper White — 7/8" x 2 1/8"

I stamped the flowering image from Flourishing Phrases with Fresh Fig ink
Then I used a Blender Pen to drag some ink into the flowers — this gives you a very soft, subtle shade of Fresh Fig
Stamp Just a Note with Fresh Fig
I added Rhinestones in two corners
(the Rhinestones were on the Retiring List but they are sold out now — no worries, there are new Rhinestones coming in the Annual Catalog in June)

Place any size order by Sunday, April 30th and send you this card.

Sneak Peek — Eastern Palace Bundle

The new Annual Catalog is just around the corner (June 1st).
Stampin' Up! will have a special deal coming your way in May and those that attended my
Bunco for Autism got a little sneak peek at what it will be and one of the new In Colors.
Eastern Palace
It's a great bundle of products called Eastern Palace Bundle.
We used the stamp set called Eastern Beauty, Eastern Medallions framelits and the coordinating Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Paper.  They also got to use one of the new In Colors — Lemon Lime Twist which we paired with Dapper Denim — great color combo.
I especially love the framelits — so many great dies in this set.
Eastern Palace Closeup
Look at the detail of the back medallion and so many layering options — love it.

This bundle will be available for you to purchase during the month of May so you only have to wait one more week.  I can't wait to do some more playing with it to show you more possibilities.

Bunco for Autism

Bunco for Autism
Last Saturday I participated in a blog hop with other demonstrators to help with Autism Awareness — Click Here to see the post

I wanted to do more than just a blog hop — so, Friday night I held a fundraiser, Bunco for Autism.  The funds raised are being donated to an organization called Autism Speaks.
I had never played Bunco before so I had helpers to explain the game (only 2 other participants had played before).  We had such a great time.
Bunco Playing
There was a ton of laughing going on while everyone was rolling the dice.
We played two full rounds of Bunco and then moved to another room to stamp three cards.
Two of the ladies had never stamped before — love newbies!!!
Bunco Stamping
Pam and Carmen both decided stamping was ok.  The Big Shot was a little much for them for their first time, we all know they will fall in love with it very quickly.

Here is one of the cards we made.
Builder Birdcage
This was the first time I used the Builder Birdcage stamp set.
It was so fun to combine the different pieces — you could have fancy bird cages like this one or simple cages on a chain — so, so cute.

Card Tips:
* Card Base — Sweet Sugarplum – 4 1/4″ x 11″
* Pear Pizzazz — 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
* Succulent Garden designer paper — 3 3/4″ x 5″
* Sweet Sugarplum — 2″ x 5″
* Whisper White — 1 7/8″ x 4 7/8″
stamp three bird cage pieces with Memento ink
stamp two birds with Sweet Sugarplum ink
* Sweet Sugarplum — 1″ x 2 1/4″
* Whisper White — 7/8″ x 2 1/8″
stamp Happy Anniversary from So in Love stamp set with Memento ink

I can’t wait to pop this card in the mail — hmmm…who’s anniversary is next.
