More Detailed Santa

Yesterday I shared Gail's Detailed Santa framelit cards
using the framelit the way it was intended.
Today we are on to Gail's extra inspiration using
it in completely different ways.

Detailed Santa SunshineThe first card uses the swirly beard as windy clouds.
I love this out of the box idea.
She used the Starburst Thinlit for the
sun rays behind the cloud.
She used Whisper White cardstock with the
Detailed Santa thinlit and kept all the pieces
in after it was cut out.

Now check out this last card.
Detailed Santa Boat
Look at those waves – don't you love it.
She used the Serene Scenery designer paper
on this one.  It is the card background and then
she cut out the Detailed Santa thinlit and cut
Santa's face off (yikes) but so adorable.
Don't you love it.

Tomorrow I'll share some other Team Member's projects with you.

Sneak Peek — start looking through your catalogs at designer paper.
Big Sale starts October 1st.

Also, Saturday is World Card Making Day!!
I hope you'll take just a little time on Saturday to make a card or two.
Pull out your Paper Pumpkin kits that are sitting in a pile (I know that I'm not the only one that does that).  Stop at a coffee shop with friends and stamp for a bit.
Stampin' Up! has a sale that starts on Friday to help you stock up on some essential card making supplies.
Come back Saturday morning to see great surprises.

Detailed Santa Luminary

Earlier this month we held a Team Meeting.
We asked a few members to bring displays.
My friend, Gail Diss, used the Detailed Santa
thinlit.  I love some of the different things
Gail did with this thinlit.  First I'm going to
share two traditional ways to use the thinlit
as they were intended — cut out Santas.
Detailed Santa Shaker
She made a shaker card using the new Mica Flakes.
Look at all the detail and swirls in Santa's beard.
Detailed Santa
This time she added a bit of color and dimension
by adding cut out pieces back in except with
Glimmer cardstocks — no pretty and sparkly.
The picture doesn't do this card justice.

Detailed Santa CandleI love her twist on this one.
There is a small candle behind the vellum sheet
so Santa glows.

Great job Gail.
