Spring Corner Double Flap Birthday

Today’s card is a wonderful Spring Corner Double Flap Birthday Card featuring the Spring Corner Bundle and Everyday Happiness Designer Paper. The Double Flap Fun Fold gives multiple layers to decorate.

This card is a special birthday card for my mom who is celebrating her 84th birthday today!!

For my final version, I made a couple changes to the stencil portion of the card. I created a stencil but die cutting the flowers in the lower left corner of one 2 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ Basic White. Tape the stencil over the second 2 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ and use Sponge Daubers with inks to color the flowers and leaves — petals are Pretty Peacock; leaves are Mossy Meadow; center of flowers are Crushed Curry.

Die cut flowers from lower left of second 2 1/4″ x 3 3/4″ Basic White. Then stamp the greeting with Pretty Peacock ink.

Attach the greeting layer over the colored flowers with Dimensionals. Adhere to the 2 1/2″ x 4″ Pretty Peacock layer.

For the center panel, I used Adhesive Sheets on the back of Pretty Peacock, Crushed Curry and Mossy Meadow 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ squares — die cut the flower image from each color. Next, I laid the stencil over the blue designer paper and stuck the pieces back into the stencil. It’s a little labor intensive, but so worth it in the end.

The inside of the card has a little flower in the bottom corner with the Happy Birthday greeting.

I hope you enjoyed this fun card.

Peanut Butter Carrots Pull Up Box

The Peanut Butter Carrots Pull Up Box was part of my Easter Bunny’s Basket of Fun. It looks like a regular treat box, but wait, when you open the top, a tray pulls up exposing 2 yummy Reese’ Peanut Butter Carrots.

See the carrots peeking out the top. The candy tray is attached by glueing the top edge to only the end of the lid. This allows the tray to lift and lower when the box is opened and closed.

Here’s a view from the side of the box, you can see that only the top edge of the tray is attached.
