White Sox Baseball

I’m not much of a baseball fan but my
former boss and his entire family love
the Chicago White Sox.
I saw Rachel Tessman’s baseball card
on Pinterest and knew I had to make one
but I changed it up a bit to make a White Sox
card for Tom and his family.
The card features the Circle Card Thinlit
which is retiring and it’s on SALE!!!
Now is the time to order it before it’s gone forever.

White SoxThe card base is Smoky Slate — 5 1/2″ x 6″.
I used the Circle Card Thinlit to cut the card base.
It cuts the circle edges and scores the card all at once.

I used Timeless Textures with Smoky Slate ink to
stamp the top half of the card — I used the
mesh stamp first and then the wood look swoosh.

I layered the Black cardstock on the Whisper White
and attached to the bottom of the card.

The Circle Card Thinlit has lots of fun pieces to
cut out shapes.  I used the star framlit to cut out
the Smoky Slate star and stamped the star
from Pictogram Punches stamp set (retiring)
with Memento ink.

I cut out “YAY” from Whisper White cardstock
and stamped the mesh stamp with Smoky Slate ink.

On a scrap of Whisper White cardstock I stamped
five stars and punched out with the star punch
from Itty Bitty Punch Pack (retiring) and
attached them with Glue Dots.

For the baseball I punched a 2 1/2″ circle of Whisper White
(the 2 1/2″ circle punch is retiring too).
With a second “scrap” circle and Black Marker I
traced the curved line on my baseball.
In the Thinlit set is a chevron die — I used Real Red
cardstock and cut out six of the chevrons.
I attached the chevrons along the black line and
then added the dots between each chevron for stitch marks.

Now check out the card when opened up.
White Sox Inside
On another 2 1/2″ Whisper White circle I stamped
You’re a Star with Memento ink and added a couple
more stars stamped with Memento ink.

As you can see this card used lots of retiring product.
Place your order before these items are gone.

Statement of the Heart

Today’s card let’s you read Stampin’ Up!’s
Statement of the Heart.
This is our mission statement and how I
try to model my stamping life.
I thought this card was the perfect way to
share my love of stamping.  It is full of
bright colors and uses stamps, punches,
Big Shot and embossing folders.

Statement of Heart logo
The case base is Pool Party with a layer of
Whisper White that is embossed with the
Stylish Stripes embossing folder
(this is on the retired list).
A banner is created with the Triple Banner Punch
and Daffodil Delight cardstock.
Punch a heart from Melon Mambo cardstock
using the heart punch from Itty Bitty Punch Pack
(also on the retiring list).
The Statement of the Heart stamp is
a special stamp that demonstrators could
order a couple years ago — you could
substitute any greeting stamp here.
The greeting is stamped on Whisper White
with Pool Party ink and the end is punched
using the Triple Banner Punch.
The flowers from Petite Petals stamp set
were stamped in Pool Party, Daffodil Delight,
Wild Wasabi, Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo inks and
punched out with the Petite Petals Punch.

What a fun card to share with those you love!!

Loads of Thanks

I’ve been making lots of Thank You Cards lately.
I send them to my customers when they place an
order with me — you also get a token when your order
is over $50 — collect 10 tokens and you get a
stamp set FREE.  There is one catch though —
DON’T choose the No Contact button — if you do
I don’t know who placed the order and can’t send you
a special card (sad face).

Anyway, this card is perfect to send to my
customers.  This was another card I saw on the
display boards last month — so cute and “springy”.
