Helping Me Grow

Tonight I have my Stamp of the Month Class.
This month we are using the Helping Me Grow
stamp set.  I saw this card on the display boards
at On Stage earlier this month and loved it.
I had my cards designed when I found this picture
and this card is just too cute not to share.

Helping Me GrowThe base of the card is Pear Pizzazz – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ score at 4 1/4″
Next is a layer of Basic Black — 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″

Then a layer of Whisper White — 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″

I love the addition of Botanical Gardens Washi Tape.
I’m always trying to figure out when to add washi tape.
This example is perfect — love it.

Only a portion of the daisy is stamped with VersaMark ink
and embossed with White Embossing Powder.
The flower is colored in with Hello Honey marker and
a light touch of Calypso Coral ink in the center  of
the flower with a Sponge Dauber.

The pretty label was stamped on Hello Honey cardstock
with Hello Honey ink.  Much Appreciated was stamped
in the center of the label with Memento ink.
The label was cut out using the Rose Garden Thinlits.
If you don’t have this set of thinlits you MUST order them
even if it’s just for that pretty label frame.
The label is attached with dimensionals and don’t
forget to add a little bling with some Rhinestones.

April Showers

April showers bring May flowers.
That’s how the old saying goes, right.
Well, I am ready for those beautiful flowers.
Today’s card features the Garden in Bloom stamp set.

Garden in Bloom logoThe card base is Watermelon Wonder.
I love the swirly on the left side — just use your
Black marker and squiggle away.

A sticky note or scratch paper was placed across
the center for a mask and flowers were stamped
all around the Whisper White layer,
starting with the flower and leaf outlines stamped
with Memento ink.  Next stamp the insides
of the flowers and leaves with Wild Wasabi
ink for the leaves and So Saffron, Delightful Dijon
and Watermelon Wonder for the flowers.

Remove the mask from the center of the card,
stamp the greeting with Memento ink
and don’t forget to add the butterfly.
The butterfly puts the finishing touch on the card
with the Rhinestone for the head.

Butterfly Basics

Flowers, butterflies and spring colors
are very calming to me.
Today’s card was another card I saw on the
display boards at OnStage.
This card features Butterfly Basics and
the Brick embossing folder — a great combination.

Butterfly BasicsThe card base is Whisper White with a layer of
Sahara Sand.  Next they stamped the ferns on a
Whisper White layer — some with Lost Lagoon
and others with Mint Macaron.
As you can see in the picture, some are stamped
twice to get very light fern leaves.

Next the stamped piece is put in the Brick embossing folder
and put through the Big Shot.  A Sahara Sand marker was
used to color the grout between the bricks.

Butterflies were cut out using Bold Butterfly Framelits
and Butterflies Thinlits.  These two sets coordinate
great to give you multiple layers for your butterfly.
Don’t forget to add Pearls down the butterfly body.

The frame from Helping Me Grow stamp set
was stamped with Lost Lagoon ink and the
words are from the Butterfly Basics stamp set.
The frame was cut out using the framelit
from the Rose Garden thinlits.
