Project 3 — Gift Holders

Fall Fest Retreat lunch is over — card swapping is over — now on to Project 3
This project is gift holders — many of us like to make a little gift for lots of friends and families during the holidays.  This project was perfect for that.
Project 3 Group
First we made an adorable fall decoration for a pint jar.
You could fill the jar with candies, soup mix, cookie mix — almost anything.
Project 3-3
We used the Leaflets framelits and embossing folders for those fun, colorful leaves.
Add a bit of burlap, linen thread and a clothespin and you are ready to fill the jar.
York Peppermint
Next was the Sketched Dot Bag that has a York Peppermint inside.
We sponged different shades of ink and decorated a fun tag for the front.
This is a great gift for co-worker desks.
Santa Candy Bar
The final project of this group was the Santa sticking our of the chimney candy bar wrapper.  This was definitely a favorite item for everyone.

Tomorrow I'll show you my favorite group.

Time for Lunch

Whew — they finished two Project groupings.
It's time to get re-fueled.
The tables were set so pretty — Katie did a great job.
She cut out tons of leaves to lay out on the tables
Table Setting
Katie made the napkin and silverware holder to coordinate with everything else.
Silverware Pouch
Isn't this just adorable.  It was made using the Square Pillow Box Thinlet Die.
Pretty quick and easy — this is a must have for the holidays.
Desserts & Salad

We served Cheesy Broccoli and homemade Chicken Vegetable soups, artisan breads, salad and all the toppings.  Maria was so sweet and brought a veggie plate.
Jose (the only man attending) couldn't be out done by the ladies — he brought Blueberry and Oreo Cheesecakes and they were delicious.
Katie baked leaf cookies for us and Gail baked some fabulous Ginger cookies for me (gluten free and paleo too) YUMMY!!  I shared a few but kept a bunch for me.
Lunch Line
It looks like they are enjoying the food.

After lunch they went back to their "work" tables to get their swap cards.
This little treat was waiting for them.
Peanut basket
We made these with the Berry Box Die and the Acorny Thank You stamp set.
Don't you love the acorn — Nuts About You — perfect for this basket, don't you think.

Now it was time for the card swap.
Jose Swapping
Jose was in line ready to go.  What a treat to have him swap too.

Come back tomorrow — I'll share their swap cards with you.

Project 2 — Winter Wishes

Now we are on to the second project of our Fall Fest Retreat.
My sister, Tina, designed this one and it is a beauty.
This grouping focused on the Winter Wishes stamp set and the Snowflake Elements.
Both items are must haves.
Project 2 - Group logo
I love this color combination — beautiful.
Project 2-1 logo
The skates created a little confusion — we used the masking technique.
When is the last time you did this.  Stamp the skate on a sticky note and cut out.
Next stamp a skate on the Very Vanilla circle, put the sticky note skate over the image you just stamped and then stamp the skate again a little higher and to the right.
Remove the sticky note skate and proceed coloring the laces.
Project 2-2 logo
The pine cones just grab my attention on this card.
Project 2-3 logo
This card has the front panel cut a bit short to give a little different look.
Project 2-4 logo
This card is the fun Triple Time Stamping Technique.
Start out lightly sticking three pieces of Very Vanilla card stock together.
Project 2-4-4 logo
Stamp the images all over the card stock.  Next separate the layers and attach the colored card stocks are shown in the card.  This techniques always creates a fabulous card.

After creating these four cards Tina decided we needed one more item

They didn't get to make this project at Fall Fest but they did have the opportunity to earn a kit to make one at home.  Isn't this gorgeous.  I LOVE mine.

Come back tomorrow to see more great projects.
