Convention 2015

Convention 2015 started Wednesday with a trip to the Stampin' Up! home office
in Riverton, UT.  This beautiful atrium is what greets you when you enter
the home office/distribution center — isn't it fabulous.
RivertonYesterday started the convention presentations.
We started in Main Stage with the unveiling of the Holiday Catalog.
I can't share it yet but you are going to LOVE it.
We broke for lunch and then into smaller groups for Make & Takes and
Demonstrator Presentations.
We finished up just before 5:00 p.m. — fast break for dinner and changing
clothes for Awards Night.  The theme this year was the Roaring 20's.
Many people dressed up — it was so cute.
Check out my daughter Katie Campbell with Brian King – adorable.
Katie & Brian
During Awards Night, they honor top demonstrators in different categories.
This year my sister, Tina Rappe and I both earned the
Achievers Bonus and walked across the stage.
Then came the BIG announcement — who earned Founders Circle.
Founders Circle is a 5 day retreat for the top 100 demonstrators
It is a very special honor to be part of this group of demonstrators.
Tina and I BOTH earned it this year.

We had our fingers crossed but we were stunned when I names went up
on the big screen.  We both screamed, cried and hugged.

This stamping year has been awesome.
Thanks to all of my customers, downline and friends for all of your support.

Watermelon Wonder Dragonflies

Pretty Petals DSP, Watermelon Wonder and Dragonflies.
That's what today's card is all about.
Watermelon DragonfliesThe base of the card is Basic Black with a layer of Whisper White.
Next I added a layer of Watermelon Wonder that has been embossed with the
Elegant Dots embossing folder.
A layer of Basic Black, Watermelon Wonder and last but not least is
Whisper White that we stamped on.
When I cut the Whisper White layer, I cut a 1 1/8" slit on the right side.
I then cut a 1" x 6" strip of designer paper from the Pretty Petals DSP Stack.
I punched one end with the Triple Banner Punch and then slipped this into the
slit so the banner is coming out both end.
So adorable.

I'm in Salt Lake City getting ready for the big Stampin' Up! Convention!!!
Watch for fun pictures from all of our activities while I'm here.
Yesterday afternoon we went and toured the Stampin' Up! home office.

Lost Lagoon, Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe

I've been playing with some of the new In Colors — I'm sure you've been able to tell.
I saw a similar card on Pinterest (I am sorry, I forgot to write down their name).
I loved the Lost Lagoon and Mint Macaron combination but felt it was
missing just a little, so I added the Tip Top Taupe.
I love this new color as a neutral accent.
This is the second card we did at my Awesomely Artistic Class.
Lost Lagoon FlowersI used the Heavy Whisper White cardstock for the base — this stuff is awesome.
I added a layer of Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron.
I stamped the flower image onto a piece of Sticky Note and cut around it.
Next I stamped the flower image with Island Indigo.  I put the Sticky Note
mask over the flower and stamped the "burlap" image above and below
the flowers.  I used the small fern image with Tip Top Taupe that is stamped
off and added a few ferns around the flower image.
I added a few "splotches" also with Top Top Taupe that is stamped off.
Last I stamped a dragonfly with Mint Macaron and cut out with my Paper Snips.
I added a small dimensional to the back and adhered to the card front.
