Butterfly Basic Watercolor

I love the soft look of this card.  The Butterfly Basic stamp set is amazing.
This card has some great watercolor opportunities.
FlowersI like to use the Aqua Painters when watercoloring — for me it's faster.
If you aren't a fan of the Aqua Painter you can definitely use a Blender Pen.
The flowers are Pink Pirouette and Pool Party.  The leaves are Pear Pizzazz that has been watered down so it is much lighter and then heavier color for the upper portions of the leaves.  Don't forget to add a pearl to the center of the flower — it dresses it up so nice.

For You

The Mother's Love stamp set is a very overlooked set in the Occasions Catalog.
Yes, it worked great for Mother's Day cards but I love it as a set to make
every day cards for those special women in your life — friends, daughters, etc.
For YouThis card is for a perfect day that you are thinking about someone special to you.
The "For You" greeting is from the set — I love the font.
The flower outlines are stamped with Smoky Slate ink and then you can add
a little color inside using a marker or there is a stamp for the inside flowers.
This card was a swap that I received and the inside flowers were stamped with Smoky Slate ink that had been stamped off so it is very faint.
I love the yellow and gray color combination.

One in a Million

I hope you had a fabulous Mother's Day!!
Mine was the best in a long time.
We spent Saturday at my daughter's celebrating my grandson's 8th birthday.
My son and family came down and spent the weekend.
We all went to church together Sunday morning and then out to a late
breakfast  — all 10 of us.  I don't think I have all both of my kids together
for Mother's Day since they graduated from college and now they have families
of their own.  It was awesome — the best day ever!!!
Now that Mother's Day is past I was looking through card swaps and
found this one which is great for Father's Day.
Tie CardThe base of the card is Crumb Cake with a layer of Very Vanilla that was
embossed with the Houndstooth Embossing Folder (it retired last year but you
could use any embossing folder) and cut and folded at the top to look like a dress shirt.  A piece of Crumb Cake cardstock was cut and folded to look like a tie.
Epic Day Washi Tape was added to look like stripes.  You're One in a Million is
a perfect saying to add to the card — my dad is definitely One in a Million.
