Boating on Moon Lake

The boat and tree image from the Moon Lake stamp set and so calm and peaceful.
I'm not much of a nature person, but I love to go out on a lake and just sit.
The water is so calming.  I do like to fish a little but if it is sunny and calm I could just sit there all day and enjoy the quiet.
Boat
The base of this card is Black with a layer of Pool Party that was embossing with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder (yup, another retiring item).
I stamped the boat & tree image with Stazon ink on Watercolor Paper.
I used an Aqua Painted and picked up ink from the stamp pad lids to color in the images — start light and add more color until you are happy with the look.
Each and every time your picture will come out different — that's the cool part of
water coloring, especially when you use Water Color Paper.

Masculine Birthday

Moon Lake is a great stamp set for those masculine cards that we all need.
My Stamp of the Month Class this month featured the Moon Lake stamp set.
We made four fabulous cards that work great for those men in your life
but they also work for all the nature lovers that you send cards to.
Loon -- It's Your DayThe base of the card is Mossy Meadow with a layer of Whisper White that I stamped it's your day from the Fabulous Four stamp set.  I stamped the cat tails with Pear Pizzazz ink on a layer Pear Pizzazz that is mounted on another layer of Mossy Meadow.  I stamped the duck on Watercolor Paper and punched out with the 2 1/2" circle punch and mounted on a circle of Basic Black that I cut out using the Circle Collection Framelits.  I adhered to the card front with dimensionals.

Carbs Schmarbs!!

Who likes to count calories or carbs when it's your birthday!!!  So I say Carbs Schmarbs — eat the cake!!
Shaker CardHow long has it been since you made a shaker card?  It's been a long time for me so I decided it was time to have some fun.
Wednesday night was my Sale-a-Bration Celebration.  You had to earn an invitation to this exclusive party.  One of the gifts that everyone received was a package of Shaker Frames (oh no, they are retiring — get them quick before they are gone).
The Shaker Frames help make this card pretty quick to make.  I cut one of the Shaker Frame pieces into four chunks and put them on the back of the Smoky Slate cardstock going around the circle opening.
I added a pinch or two of the In Color Sequins (yes, they are retiring too), added a second piece of Window Sheet over the Shaker Frame and Sequins and attached the layer to the card base.  So much fun — everyone enjoyed making this.
The stamp set is Amazing Birthday.
