Last week was my Coffee, Cocoa & Cards Class and with had fun with Gone Fishing Bundle.
They each received half a package of the Let’s Go Fishing Designer Paper and a package
of Neutral Adhesive-Backed Sequins.
Everyone made these two wonderful cards and two treat holders – don’t they look awesome?
I love the way the fish are swimming across this card as the bobber sits in the water just waiting for fish to bite.
This fun fold is one of my favorites, the side panels are adhered closed while the center panel
lifts up to write your greeting.
The next card is my absolute favorite!! I knew I wanted to make a tackle box card and then
I saw one that Rachel Tessman made and OH MY GOSH — I LOVED IT and had to make it with a
couple small changes to make it mine, but Rachel gets all the credit for the movements of this
amazing card. The front is a little plain but then open it up……..
Check this out!! When you lift the card front up, you have a two-tiered tackle box than opens
up like a real tackle box.
Here’s a side view so you can see the layers that pop up.
I added Very Vanilla and Pecan Pie to the inside of the card front to right your message.
I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. It is a labor or love but everyone was so happy
with it that they didn’t mind the work that went into it.
treats
I went to Amazon and searched Fishing Lure Candy and found these wonderful Bobber Lollipops.
We added a quick wrapper around the lollipops with some fish cut from the Designer Paper — so cute.
Then I found gummy worms and just had to make a fun slider to decorate them in our fishing theme.
The Designer Paper and some lures added to the birthday greeting turns out so cute.
We had to have some treats at our Coffee, Cocoa and Cards Class so I found these tiny tackle boxes (also on Amazon) and filled them with Swedish Fish, Goldfish Crackers and Gummy Worms!! They were a huge hit.
When I was on the Norway Cruise, we toured a sardine canning factory.
Not many of us really like sardines but these sardine shaped chocolates were pretty tasty.
I brought back a few cans to share with customers, family and friends and they were perfect
for our Gone Fishing Class.
